I really need help guys, I'm now despite.. I feel like I've tried everything. I got into a wreck on my bike and now it won't start, spark and fuel pump don't kick on. I bought a new ecu thinking it was going to fix the problem, unfortunately it didn't. The check light stays on no matter what, I've tried to get dealer codes and still says check. sensors are bypassed, anti theft bypassed etc.. Someone please help me solve this mystery.

Welcome.

To get any reasonable guesses you need to post EXACTLY what the bike is doing or not doing.

In the title you say "no spark, check light". Are you talking about the red FI light or is it flashing "FI" in the temp window?

In your post you say "it still says check." So is it showing "CHEC" in the temp window?

Yes it matters.

I'm guessing the starter is not engaging?

What was broken in the crash and what have you fixed/replaced?

BTW, post an intro, with pics of your bike, in the "new riders and members" section when you get a chance.

The cluster shows "CHEC" when it has not received data from the ECM for about 3 seconds. The most common reason is that there is not power to the ECM.

Have you looked carefully at the socket and pins on the ECM for damaged or corroded parts? I have read of a problem where a socket in the plug backed out so it was not connected.

What else have you repaired besides the TOS and ECM?

Ya, we've seen that same problem before.... you're probably better off just selling the bike and getting a new one.

I'll give ya $100!

On the other hand... there are some pretty smart guys on this forum if you're willing to help them help you....

But hey, it's your money. And you could be $100 richer... just let me know.
okthx.

I'll try again here.
New ECU, new TOS - check.
Let's try obvious stuff...
Fuses? Have you checked those?
Was there any damage to any wires in the crash?
If you pull the fuel pump relay and check power, are you getting power and ground there? The ECU controls the relay.

Just to cover the bases. You KNOW that the ECM that you installed is good? As in, it runs in another bike?

BTW, there is always power to the injectors. The ECM provides the ground to actuate the injectors.

There is not a direct connection between the injectors and the signal generator (CKP, crankshaft position sensor). The ECM gets the signal (as well as the CMP sensor for start), applies the map and then the ECM actuates the injectors.

Were you ever able to get rid of "CHEC" in the temp window?

The wires to the injectors aren't putting out a hot, I don't have another bike to check the ecm in. When I bought the ecm it said was tested and works good. Then again it ''said". And no I never could get that chec off, so even with the new ecu still can't pull any codes

^ This is a good suggestion.

My bad.

I was mixed up. The OP did say he had power to the ignition coils but not to the injectors.

C28 and C29 are both STVA related. When both are there, either it's been removed or the sensor is faulty. C13 is for the intake air pressure sensor. It's on the back, bottom, right corner of the airbox.

That being said, all three are very close to each other and come from the same bundle in the wiring harness. If everything is there and connected, I'd start with wiring tests for all three.
