Maybe you don't have enough power getting to the ballast to fire? Have you tested it by connecting it directly to the battery to see if it fires? It could be either ballast, bulb, or power. I had issues when i was installing hids where I wasn't getting enough power to the ballasts, so the bulbs wouldn't completely ignite and it would just flash

How long did you give it to fire up? HIDs don't come on instantly, so giving it a minute or two may be necessary.

I had the same issue with my HID's... because some ballast are reverse polarity you have to flip your wiring and or plug for the HID's to work...

I thought DDMs were great quality? I got some bluestreaks from STG.com simple to install besides drilling out the lightbulb retaining piece.

Besides drilling.....ok. They make adapters for issues like yours.

As stated above, some other applications harnesses are reverse compared to ours. I had to redo the harness on the other balast I had to proved to who I was selling it to it worked. This test was on a car.

Also try reversing the power wires to the light itself.
