update:
Still no idea yet been in the shop since friday and about 7-10 hrs into diagnostics. So far they've been swapping parts left and right and checking comps for codes turning bike on and off. Swapped ECU and cluster into another bike my stuff worked fine on other bike, so they called suzuki techs and are waiting for a response hoping to give them a call thursday morning and receive good news buts its highly unlikely.I just want to ride my bike again, ive pretty much given up hope of a cheap fix anyone know where to find a 08-10 wiring harness for cheap to see if i can change that out and fix my problem im already more into diagnostics than id like i really can afford to keep dumping money into it. How does one feel about riding at night with a mag flashlight duct taped to your helmet lol.

original:

recently my headlight and cluster went out and i cant figure out why. checked the fuse box all of them are good is there anything else i can check

would headlight relay also control cluster lighting as well

headlight is extremely dim as well as turn signals

edit
Ok so here is the run down ive gone through so far
checked main harness under triple still on tight as well as cluster connects
Shook both of them with bike running no change
checked fuses none are blown
do not have a way to check headlight relay but still dont know if it will light up my cluster also
neutral light does work

im stumped as to why they stopped working

Do your tail lights work? What was going on when it happened? Hard bump? Wheelie? Check to make sure everything is plugged in behind the cluster

Have your owners manual? Look for more fuses, I wanna say the one you need is under your seat?

headlight is extremely dim and so are front turn signals
checked harness under triple tree cant even get that sucker off wtf
asking if headlight relay would cause barely lit headlight or is it something else as ignition switch or loose connection shook main harness and cluster connection no change
pulled out headlight relay and as expected not working

Just fixed the same thing on my 09 750. I had to take the left side off. You'll see where the main harness and headlight harness come together take it apart and clean all the pins ( check the black and white one) and then put some dielectric grease. That fixed my took about 20 mins

I have the same issue, this is a old post now but i posted my question on gixxer.com though it had 36 views but no replies so far so im posting it here as well, Im trying to get this stupid connector off and its not coming off... Below are the details of my issue and the things i have done so far.

09 GSXR, 13000 KM's, 3rd owner, bought it 4 months ago, been in shop for miss firing and turns out it was running on 3 cylinders (bad spark plug), tail light wires are just hanging lose from previous owner because of fender eliminator kit that doesn't come with a light.

And now below is the issue im having.

All displays are off except the N light
Front headlights and High Beams are on but just a soft glow
Turning Signals glow amber but work if I turn them on
Bike never shuts off, drives like it always does
Sometimes while turning the high beams on and off, it can cause the gauges to flicker
This happened occasionally but last night they turned off for awhile and never came back on

Troubleshooting done so far:

If i take the low beam fuse out my cluster starts to work, and if i put the fuse back in and take out High and low beam lamps the cluster works. If i turn the signal on the cluster dies thats with all head lights lamps out, if i shut the signal off cluster comes back on without restarting the bike. I checked connectors in the left hand side and nothing looks burnt, checked all fuses and they're all good, this all started few days after i washed the bike.

I would really appreciate if someone can please guide me the right direction.

thanks,

95% sure you have a bad ground to all the components in the nose. (cluster, headlights and turn signals) There is only one ground for all these items.

If you want to confirm this, find a component up front (headlight, etc) and ground the black/white striped wire to the chassis. Everything should start working.

Just as this post noted, the most common problem area is the big plug with the clear or yellow boot covering it connecting all the items to the main harness. Check the pins on the B/W wire going in and out of it.

Post an intro, with pics of your bike, in the "new riders and members" section when you get a chance.

Also, next time you have a problem, start your own new thread.
