No worries man..I have a serious shop one town from me, but they are really pricey, Orient Express. I had my stock stuff dialed in last year there and they charged me $150! They also quoted me $350 to Dyno tune one bike and Bauce said $300 for both....

Some clips from my last track school. Only did 3 of the 4 sessions as I wasn't feeling well so took my time to start the day.

Unfortunately had to pull in early in my first session out due to getting tired. Then in my 2nd session out had to come in as the clutch went loose so I couldn't gear down. So I only got one full session in at the end of the day. Tried to stay with my friend on his ZX10 but eventually got tired but pushed through to the end to maximise track time.

First time this year at this track. Way too early on the brakes. I used my old braking markers and now with the new frame and much heavier fork springs the bike stops easier...

What a beautiful, flowing and smooth track! You're lucky!

Is this bike a k5/6 1000? Sounds very similar to my previous k5 1000.

It's actually quite bumpy and desperately needs re-surfacing.

Yep, K5 1000, this one K5 1000 Track/Street Bike Build

Eject....2016 Shannonville RACE Season opener ** Crash Eject **

Eject,

Still a hard one to watch for me..
Long Story short, it's always the Crashers fault, could have been a lot worse.
But with that said buddy did not listen to the instructor when he said if you are 1st fall back to last after each lap.

Thank GOD for all the gear.

Circuit Of The Americas vid Austin Texas

Just had my first trackday, I'm hooked.
Definitely wont ride level one again.
Had some slower corner speed since there are 20 turns and the track memory wasnt quite there yet.

Next time out should step up quite a bit.
The only reason I really blasted a bunch of them on the straights was to try to get some open track. I dont really want to be that 1000 guy lol.
Forgive the vibration in sound sometimes from GoPro case rattle.

Damn. Hope you and the bike are ok.

Did you chop the throttle as you tipped in? Trying to work out what went wrong so I can learn from your crash.

There are several very slow guys out there, but I would hesitate self promoting. Let a coach ride with you to make that decision.

Get your line down and the speed will come on its own. You definitely weren't using the entire track in several areas. Great starting point though. It's hard to not get hooked after the first session.

Yea, thats basically what Im gettin at. I want to have an instructor evaluate me on the track. I was riding a little crossed up, so I guess I'll go lvl1 again to sort that out. Maybe 3/4 of the day through, get an evaluation. I always welcome any advise from you guys.

Being crossed up is both easy and hard to fix. The main problem is it initially feels very exaggerated which keeps you from moving your shoulders and head enough. Once you start to get comfortable with locking your legs in it becomes easier to move your torso without feeling off balance.

The line is just a matter of finding someone who knows it to tow you. Sometimes that's hard in level 1 with anyone other than a coach. As you move up there is usually someone a little faster who has the line dialed in enough and you can ride in chase.

Thanks for the insight. They have the first COTA again on March 11-12th 2017. I might put a few bucks away and go back again.
That track is expensive. I cant do a lot of those days at 400USD a day.

All the others are around 150 a day. But I guess you get what you pay for.

@400 you're paying for COTA, not the quality of coaching.

It's especially hard when that was the style when you got into racing then were gone for more than a decade.

Thanks. I am not sure what happened. The track was very dirty and the white cement on racing line is to cover oil spilled in ALL 5 turns. So I either lost the front due to oil or my riding style which is very hard on front.

Yeah, tomororw it will be two weeks. My lower right back still a bit sore. The other bruises have healed up. My leathers look very good considering. Right side boot took a good knock but it's okay to ride again. Not just riding gear protected me but good quality riding gear.

Yeah, that's me walking and ankles and collarbone fine.

I bought the RaceChrono Pro app so I could export data and make videos using Dashware. But looks like Dashware doesn't work on Win10. :( So I tested how easy it's to make videos using the app. Worked out pretty well.

Yes, the app uses GPS. You can use only a phone's internal GPS but it's not very accurate and usually has only 1Hz update rate.

I use an Android phone and a Qstarz BT-Q818XT 10Hz GPS BT-Q818XT.
Garmin GLO 10Hz is also a good choice https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/109827.

You need to have the Pro version of the app if you want to export data. You can use the free version as a laptimer but you can't make videos with GPS data.

I love that track, double and triple apexes, long straight. Changing elevation, and 20 turns.

It was my second trackday, both there. I ran a 2.52 in level one.
Another 2B guy said you have to make a 2.49 to be level 3.
They put me in level 2 now.

Im going to MSRH(motorsport ranch Houston) and MSRC (Cresson) as well as TWS (Texas World Speedway) this year.

Didn't they have a "closing TWS" thing last year then decide they're not closing after all?

They're keeping it open through the end of 2017.
It's all up in the air after that. I've heard the track is in bad condition.

I edited last post, I wish I ran a 1.52 there haha
