Well this weekend my 750's ECU fried on me at Daytona for the CCS/ASRA Race of Champions. So I was out of both Heavyweight classes.... bummed for sure. So with the only race left I went out on the Ducati, and won a National in Supertwins!! Man that Pani was a missile! Had some really great scraps with the guy in second and passed a few experts in the process. It was craziness!

So after a recent off ( a month ago ) I swopped out my red and white fairings for my spare blue fairings here.

So now, the blue and white is the before

and on Friday the after is this after loosing the front at around 150km/h

To get up and see my bike in pieces was awful. I've since stripped it down and luckily have most of everything that broke off. I can get a good 2nd hand fairing kit so once my friend / mechanic has had a good look to make sure there is no major damage that I'm missing I will then repair.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about the off. I'm guessing no injury to you? All the damage looks like it came from the roll, which is what mine did too. To bad we don't get those big giant run off areas like at GP tracks. As soon as sliders, clip-ons, and rearsets catch dirt, all bets are off on what might happen. Good luck getting her cleaned back up. It's always painful seeing her on the ground covered in dirt and mangled fiberglass.

Thank you. No injuries. Bruises are starting to show. My leathers did an amazing job (Arlen Ness Kangaroo leather). My knee slider is completely destroyed from being my first body point of impact. Just goes to show that good protective gear and track riding is far safer when you go down

It's awful seeing that way yes. But we'll get her back up and looking tidy again.

Glad you didn't hurt yourself badly.

Make sure you or your mechanic opens all the front end bolts and also engine mounting bolts. That should be done always after a crash like this.

Thanks man.

Yes, that's correct and my guy is going to loosen everything. In fact he's basically put my bike one side to force me to chill for the December holidays. There is a few small bits that need welding but luckily frame and forks look okay but like you say we will only know once everything is loosened. Here most people that weld etc take building holiday from today until mid January so I more than likely won't have any news for the next 4 weeks at least. Racing starts again 18 Feb so a good break although I really wanted to get back on the track just to make sure time doesn't play games with my mind later on..

Looks like you had a great time.
All we have in May is Texas World Speedway, a dilapidated crappy dangerous track. Not even wasting my time there. Looks like June 3rd for me.

Finally had my first outing of the year at Heartland Park Topeka. Everyone was chasing tire wear on the left on the new surface.

Here at summit main today with the new color scheme. It's kind like putting a bag over her head because under the fresh paint the body it pretty ugly. Oh well. Everyone likes that I'm easier to find on the track. Temps not bad today but humid and overcast. Chance of rain is around so fingers crossed it stays away!
