Old school gixxer back in the mix

Finally got my '93 750 with a '92 600 motor up and running this weekend and boy was it fun!! Bike is a combo of two crashed bikes and a lot of fun. Still need to get the carbs balanced, but with the D&D exhaust and running at 9 grand or better, it sounds amazing!

Lots of cam chain noise at idle, and it really doesn't want to idle, now that I think about it, but I'm having a lot of fun with my first ever crotch rocket. Will post pics as soon as my battery for the camera gets charged up.

Plastics are in pretty good shape, but if I love this ride as much as I think, I'll be painting them and getting some new decals.

Wow! What a fun bike!

I would love to hear from some of the gang who also ride these old gixxers. I know there's a lot I'm missing! Thanks, all.

Pictures of the gixxer

This bike really starts to go around 8 grand on the tach and the suspension is still nice and stiff. Should be a hoot when I can get to some curvy mountain roads here in TN. My only concern now is the really noisy cam chain. Do others with 20+ year old bikes have this same issue?

The bike itself is a combo of two crashed ones that I found. The '92 and '93 750 and 600 were identical bikes back then, so those who were around back then would ID my bike as a '92 600 since that's what the plastic and motor is from. A really cool ride; I'm looking forward to getting out more before winter sets in!

Sorry guys, but I've tried to load my pics four times now and nothing's happening. My browser says it's waiting for gsxr.com to do it's thing, then goes blank, and there's nothing showing up on the post.
