i got my gsxr600r about a month now and it is awesome but unfortunately, my right leg joint near hip area is experiencing minor dull pain possibly due to higher placement during ride. Personally I dont mind putting legs on higher rearset but somehow my right leg does not like it.

is it common experience? Any way to alleviate?
:frown
Thanks.,

I can ride for hours with my feet on the pegs with no issues but when I have to put my feet down at a light and then put them back on the pegs I get cramps on the outside of both hips.
If I stand up on the pegs for a minute it will help.
You may be able to work through it.

Yes during the ride I don't feel it at all. Only when it stops and when I have to put down the leg on the ground and back up the rear set, I feel it. Actually lot of times I keep the the right leg on the rear set during stop specially on uphill stop and only support using my left leg, but still it does cause pain somehow too. Currently the pain is manageable but concern is I am hoping it will not develop into major issue.

You should have your hip checked out. I'm a bit older but have several young friends that are going to need hip surgery (replacement) in the near future. Did you play any contact sports when you were younger (hockey or football)? The hip is an important joint and the pain in it can be debilitating over time. I'm not trying to scare you but it's something you should look into. Good luck.

i actually like the high settings, but i am considering ajustable for commute. i had cbr500r which is very low and had no issue.
but i am also having an abdominal infection treatment going on which was causing a havoc on my immune system revently, it could also be related to that and that is going to take months for the treatment to be over.

I just did quick google. hip replacement is huge cost in USA compared to other developed countries. The guy in the article did his for 13K$ in Belgium as it costs well over 40-50k$ in usa.

My mother had surgery but she did it in china to save cost and it was problematic. I am actually started peeking around to see about possibility of having her another or at least check up in those countries.

Don't you have some sort of insurance or are you somehow planning to pay out of pocket? It could be all kinds of things though. You should talk to a specialist. I know people that have issues from bone spurs that they went in and shaved them off to a pinched nerve in your back causing pain in either leg/hip/foot. It could be from the way you are sitting that your spine puts pressure on a certain nerve to make it just painful enough. Go see someone.
