what did you do to your GSXR today?

I don't know if someone already started a thread on this topic on this forum. It was very popular on the cbr500 forum.

Let us know what you did to your bike today. Mods, trips, maintenance, purchased, traded, etc.

I will start with-

Installed my SJ5000X gopro knock off. Wired it in to the ignition so it is currently running as a dash cam.

Installed my stem mount GPS wired into the ignition.

Installed foot pegs with rubber lining to assist with minimising vibration.

I put mine on the battery tender. I think that counts.

I took the cover off her, started for a couple of minutes, said some kind things and put the cover back on. It was -10 here the other day. Not much else I can do.

Space is limited so ride on the edge, just make sure you're geared up and ready for it. It is called the edge for a good reason!

Nice purchase...

Which model shark helmet did you end up getting and where did you buy from?

Have you had a chance to try her out yet?

Thanks mate.

I think it is a raptor. It's the 2017 model that replaces the speed r. Got it from Trooper Lu's in Liverpool. That is an awesome bike shop by the way. I was there for an hour after I bought my stuff just chatting to the guys.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet :-(. Maybe i will before I go back to work.

I'm like kid on Christmas day every time I get something new for the bike. Waiting on it to be warm enough to finish paint work, but in the meanwhile, stainless rotors and new brake lines.

Figured with Red,White and Blue paint, the brake lines would be ok.

On my K5 LiterBike,
There arfe two cylinder looking rubber bumpers that are on the frame, and cushion the fuel tank in the back.
I was missing one, $8 later and ordering it, I picked it up today.

Small thing I know, but I like things like the fuel tank rubber bumpers to be there.

Put the fairings on today after installing the full M4 gp system after I had everything from the spigots to the collectors ceramic coated.

Now waiting on Samco hose kit.

I wear a Shark Speed R Avenger. I like it a lot, but it feels much heavier than something like a Nolan or even a Shoei. Fits well though, and that's the important bit.

Finished putting the fairings back on after I went through everything short of tearing apart the motor. Standard new (used) bike once over.

I replaced the M4 and chopped pipe with a stock system. Got a brand new one for $246 shipped. Came off a '16 someone is making into a track bike. I need the cat (technically) in TX since it came with one. And the PO didn't retune the bike when he chopped the cat. He also didn't get an M4 that actually went with this bike and his pipe fab skills suck. So the back brake wasn't usable (not that I do, but required for inspection) and the M4 was rubbing/melting things. I gathered it's only been there for my one ride home.

Changed spark plugs, cleaned the wasp nests out of the intakes, replaced air filter, cleaned and checked the chain, checked torques, etc.

I found that you can buy used OEM "grab bag" bolt kits off eBay for cheap. If I had to buy all the bolts and mounts I got for $45 I would have spent well over $200. Only wound up missing one or two fairing bolts and rubber spacers.

Only remaining issues are the old clutch switch screw broke off in the perch so I can't mount my new switch, I'm missing the exhaust shield/cover thing, and I need a T25H to adjust my TPS.

I could use new fairings and tank, but that'll have to wait. My tank is fine, just has a helmet sized dent in it. I'm assuming that it's related to why the bike has sat for almost 2 years and the quick and dirty exhaust replacement. Lol.

Yeah. All the full OEM systems actually selling on eBay are going for $100-200. Way, cheap.

I figured $200 for a stock was cheaper and easier than fabbing/sourcing a mid pipe, buying a slip on that actually fits the bike, buying a FI tuner and having it tuned. Then hoping after all that, the guy doing the inspection is in a good mood and lets it slide.

I do still need that exhaust black cover thing if you're selling that.

My new Shark lid is so much lighter than my old helmet. What I really appreciate is the sun shield that can be flipped up or down depending on how light it is. No more wearing sunglasses on the bike for me! The ventilation Is really good too.

Now that's a great community!

Well my front wheel will be here Friday. I'll get the rear in a month or so.

I took the advise here and decided if I'm going to spend my money, I might as well get the most weight savings as well as the other benefits. The non fiber wheels just don't offer the same advantages and are near the price.

91 Gsxr 750 getting a change

Well the 91 is getting a refresh. Found out the front upper fairing mount was bent. Got on ebay and found one in decent shape. While in the process of taking the front end apart, found that the wiring was a mess and routed incorrectly. In the process of fixing all that. Started sanding down my fairings for paint. One of my coworkers has a professional paint business at his house. (have seen a ton of his work on cars and other bikes in person) amazing work. Bike is going from the stock to a metallic black. Here is what the bike started to look like. I will post pictures again as I do work. I posted a picture of the Fairings. They use to look the same. Not anymore.

Installed some case sliders today to go with the frame sliders.

Every time that I parked the bike on anything other than a concrete surface, I thought the bike was going to tip over. So I installed a kickstand plate.
