Why Do You...

Ride a sport Bike.
Why do you ride a Sport Bike?

There's as many reasons as there are Sport Bikes.

For me, I've always enjoyed the 'two wheeled' thing, since I was very young.
I even raced road bicycles at a very high level- and USCF Licensed, etc.
I also did a few motocross races decades ago. I've commuted on motorcylces and nearly all my life owned one.
But the added power, speed, and ability of a Sport Bike- is like no other to me.
Statisically speaking, the average and median age of a rider like the bike I ride is decades younger than I.
At this stage in my life, I'll never be a hard core Track racer with a pedigree;
So having my lightly modded Liter Bike is as close as I'm gong to come to that.

I really enjoy the feeling of riding, and riding a Sport Bike. I don't want stereos, or music in my helmet while I"m riding either. If you like music in your helmet- more power to you- I have no problem with that.
But for me, the speed, agility, throttle response, and dare I say the look while riding it is all I need.

I don't really enjoy riding it through town however, but do when I have to. I have a really nice set of 'S' curves, on a country road, not far out of town from where I live. I go make that 'run' whenever I can- and love every minute of it. As well as several others farther out of town west of me.

For me, when I'm on a pleasure ride (as in I'm not riding on a track, or the rare riding to work),
all my memories, experiences, and thoughts and problems- however big or small just fade away....
nothing else matters....

You?

There's nothing quite like riding a sport bike at speed whatever that is to each rider.
I love the feeling when I roll on the throttle coming out of a corner.
Something about the life in our days?

Because hopping on my bike still gives me chills . Hearing the rumbling idle is music to my ears, and when it screams, OH MY!! It's a feeling no one can experience unless they ride. Plus Corners are faster with speed . Life is greater on two wheels . I'm addicted for life!!

The fact that I'm on a race machine is pure

I like the increased performance in all areas. And nothing sounds like a GSXR 750 at 10,000+ rpm.

There's one good thing about getting older.
There's a lot more women to look at!-WB

I do it so I can add riser bars, a larger seat, panniers, and set the compression and rebound to their minimum settings so I can pretend I have a touring bike. Also, because it was the wisest investment of my money.

GSXR 1000: Always purchase a liter bike, because it is the most economic choice.

Needs more bags and a giant touring screen, and then I'm there.
