Sprint Filter

Been running with he Piper Cross filter for a some time now but cam across this one and thought "why not" so I haz now.

I'm impressed with the making of it as it is not the norm that I'm aware of as it's not 'floppy' with a rubberish frame, it's solid and could probable hurt someone with it if I wanted to.

Real reason I bought it was for the filter media, one piece/layer not counting the mesh that maintains its shape, can supposedly filter better that what's on the market the market that we a custom to but can see light through it. Race filter like but maintains street sensibility supposedly.

I cleaned out the air box years ago when I installed the Piper Cross filter after I had cleaned it (didn't oil it after cleaning) and it remained clean, not even a spec of dust and that is with looking in it a couple a times just to clean it so we will see how the Sprint unit does in that aspect. I doubt I will notice a difference but as long as it keeps the box clean I'll be happy with the unrestricted air flow.

Failed to add that recommended, or at minimum that all you need to do is hit with air to clean it, grant I will still use soap and water pending how filthy it looks.

Did you swap it with the oem filter.

Think I noticed a difference in respond but I'm not going to hold my butt dyno to that claim ha ha.

Looks very similar to my K&N filter. What is the difference between this and the K&N?

Besides not having to oil, the media is thin and like I said, only one layer of it and is thinner than K&N so it doesn't restrict as much air...but who could tell the difference while riding. Race filter performance with street filter abilities, time will tell.
Supposed to filter a lot better as well which I will be checking in ....not sure now that I think about it...but for the cost I'm expecting the same cleanliness of my air box compared to the Piper Cross.

I installed the P16 race filter. You could tell immediately. Night and day difference. I never could tell a difference with the K&N

The P16 replaces the OEM, and it's larger. Would disqualify you in any Supersport classes.

Only offer the P08 for my 750.

The only negative now that you say something is the surface area is not as large compared to the Piper Cross though its minimal in aspects to the way this one is designed.
