k8 600, no mods and just how I ride it on the streets.

This was my third pass EVER on the strip with my stock bike:

11.623 @ 125.353 mph
Reaction time: 0.396
60ft: 2.167

And then I got disqualified for not having the correct safety gear on (leather pants).

I'd love to but until I get all the proper safety gear, it's not worth it because I can't go all out anyway. I actually beat the drag Busa I was racing because my times were closer than his (bracket racing) but was disqualified for running over 120 mph with just jeans on.

600 times

I purchased a ZX-6R from former Kawasaki sponsored rider Chip Ellis. This bike was a former 600 supersport world record holder and land speed record holder. It was stock 600cc's but had every trick that Kawasaki uses for the 600supersport class done to it. Stock wheelbase, no airshifter.
1/8th mile - 6.48
1/4 mile - 9.97
This bike would pull a 1.40 60 foot time. Chip was about 1 tenth faster on this bike than myself. If you get the opportunity and are a dragracer, purchase an 600 supersport bike. Contact ryan Schnitz or Lee at Lees performance. They build some serious fast ones.

The launch/60' time. Practice makes for fast times. It doesn't hurt to be lowered, geared and straped either....

Every tenth off your 60ft, you generally get two tenths at the 1/4 mile. Practice your 60fts

Knock your 2.1 60ft down to 1.7, you'd be looking at low 10.8's. Practice, practice, practice...

Ah! That explains it! Well, I've only run my bike 3 times, and ran it just like I do on the street, meaning no strapping and street pressures.

Yea, thanks. I was a little surprised with the times at first. The slowest I've been on the bike was 10.80s. I never really get a chance to ride it. I know with more seat time I can get some 30s out of it. I'm a light weight. Weigh in at 140 in street clothes.

yeah but i'm a flyweight, lol i only weigh about 130 suited ( and about 5'11) so it's hard as hell to hook up... i have a 003 u-soft on the back and i'll run about 12psi in it on race day and it just won't hook worth a damn above 10k and i have to slip the hell outta it to launch it that high... i though at first i needed to take some wheelbase out of it but i'm going to run nitrous in a few weeks and going to 9" over full arm so we'll see how it goes.

I finally decided to find out what this bike would do, looks like im a lil off the pace...but i run stock suspension with stock gearing ratios...heres my best after not going to the track in 3 years. reaction- .3679 60ft- 1.9050 330ft- 4.9283 1/8- 7.3429 @ 101.84 This is of course stock gearing ratios. But the bike has a K&N, PCIII, Custom Tune, 520 conversion kit with RK Gold chain and Vortex Sprockets, and a Yosh RS-3 Slip on pipe. wasnt too bad i thought...

Looking for more riders near Nashville, TN. Keep that headlight pointing to the moon!

Update: I cut my 60' down 1.75 to 1.71 its only a small difference but its forward progress...Oh still swb

Only thing I changed was leaving @ 12k instead of 10k, and went full throttle alot sooner. (Almost immediately after I launch)
