11-9 on a stock gsxr600 2002

is a time of 11-9 for my first time to the track good for a gsxr 600 2002 completly stock?

little high...i think as good as high 10's can be seen out of a stock 600...?

Could be better, my last time at a 1/4 track was on an 02 r6 stock and ran 11.4's most of the day. Havent taken the gsxr out yet. Keep it up and remember it's all in the launch. :thumbup:

10.96 @ 125mph/or so, 02 GSXR 600, fmf bolt on can, kn filter, down one front sproket, strapped, lowered 1.5in dog bones, snythetic oil, dyno 100.5hp to rear wheel on dynojet. 2.19 sixty foot also. I suck at launching, i always let off clutch way to quick, flipped a couple months ago. :headshake

Yes, the bike can go faster and it will the more you race and the better you get. Just because others can get awesome times doesn't mean everyone can. Practice practice practice and try to have some fun while doing it. :)

i have a 2002 1000 with pc and tre and full hindel exaust im curious to see what it will do in the quarter if i can keep the frount down just got it this year moved up from a zx9 never ran that either but ill run this one

Holy shat. What Altitude are you guys at? i was getting low 12's on my CBR900RR...I dont think this Gixxer is quicker.....My launches were piss poor....I didn't touch the suspension...what do you guys use, and where do you tie to to suck the front end down?

12's on a 900RR? Thats slow as hell. My first time out I ran an 11.5,11.3, then an 11.1 on an 05 600. My goal is running a 10.** before I do any mods to it, then see if I cant run a mid to low 10 after I do some mods to it.

Another factor in slow or fast times is the density altitude and the weight of the rider. The closer to sea level the faster and the smaller/lighter the rider, the faster they will go.

i ran a 10.9 at 138mph on my bone stock 2005 gsxr600 That's a hell of a MPH for a stock 600. Do you weigh like 30lbs or are is the track at -6000 feet altitude ?? :lol: Gotta say though, with that MPH you should be in the very low 10s.

Ya you might have ran a 10.9 because that is not impossible on a stock 600 but I think your mph is off bro?? I plan on running below a 10.9 as soon as I can get to the track.
