I'm planning on taking a few trackdays this year, probably starting in april and I don't want to screw up my minty plastics. How much should I expect to pay for a set of rashed up plastics, upper, lower, rear? I want to get something crappy and fur it up or something.

Used rashed plastics will run around $150-$300 range. Check with the track organization before you fur it. Some may not allow fur on the track.

Honestly, If wick doesnt come through cheap enough.... Id say go with Fiberglass. If you know how to do some glass repair work (really easy, and cheap, just takes some time) I have a set of cracked glass body work I might be able to sell pretty cheap. I also have a good shape supersport tail Ill sell by itself (I prefer superbikes)

I have a nose and tail that are rashed and cracked off an '02 600. Like Taz, local to ya. Only problem is they are still on the bike, so it'd all depend on how quick ya want them.

thanks everyone for all the replies, I just sent a bunch of PM's so we'll see what happens. Are those godfather plastics any good or what? $400 a set seems really cheap. thanks for the link

Some may not allow fur on the track. yes check with the organization: fyi - ridesmart and lstd's don't care if you can show they are secured. i spent almost $400 for my rashed plastics/fur/glue mainly because the shipping costs. meaning just get a set of race plastics from godfatherracing.com for $450 and call it a day.

I have a factory left side and tail for a 600, left side has a small split in the bottom, tail has a couple of cracks but I used it on my 02 1000, plus I have a factory -2 1000 tailsection that has some breakage but is usable. I'll let ya have it cheap. pm me and we can set it up glenn

Also, consider using race plastics. You can get a full NEW set for $300-400.

what is the difference in race plastics? I would prefer them over fiberglass I think... unless I crashed alot, I can work with f/g better...

For one thing, they hold up better in a crash. Second, they are easier to repair. Third, Cheaper than rashing street plastics. BUT the big difference is no holes for mirrors, turn signals, headlight or tail lights. Track only babe.

I would be interested in purchasing a rashed or cracked, but not totally screwed up front cowling for an 01 style 750. If you have one for sale or know a cheap place to get one let me know.
