I have a 97 SRAD that I recently bought and the shifter and footpeg position make it difficult to shift. Does anyone else with this model bike have this problem?

Is it skipping gears? it wont go in gearss...little more description can help skibum91 08-30-2004, 08:41 AM you can adjust the shifter up and down to make it more comfortable to shift for your riding style, or you can also get aftermarket rearsets. Limboavionic 08-30-2004, 02:54 PM I have an 00 600. I change the angle of the stock rearsets frequently. When I go to the drag strip, I set it very low so the quick shift is easy. Then I raise it back up for street riding. All you have to do it take the bolt on the shifter all the way out, not part way where it's loose, it has to be off. Take the shifter and re-position to where you want it. nuseeit 08-30-2004, 04:58 PM Thanks Bigjimbo and Limboavionic. Adjusting the shift lever really helped. The lever position is just so different than my '03 GSXR 1000. I think I am going to get a set of adjustable rearsets. But this is going to have to wait until funds free up. Maybe next race season. | |
