I'm hatin' you right now. :) I'm in Yucca Valley, N of Palm Springs.

Yah as soon as I fix the electrical issue on my bike (battery keeps draining because its not being charged by the generator) Hopefully I should be up and running by the weekend

ok my battery keeps dying too, i dont know why. but i charge the battry and its not holding a charge. weird, at first i thought it was the hids but now i dont know. Im just gonna buy a new battery this weekend.

Yah I thought it was the hids also but I ruled that out when I switched those to high beams and they were not even on last time it died out.... Because I saw several different post say that the bike struggles to start if they on right away so people where wiring in secondary switches to turn on the hids after the bike was already started..... I charged the battery and I can go maybe 3 days of riding (2 short 1 long) before it won't crank no more... I have a new battery my self cause that was the first thing I replaced...

Matter of fact the battery will charger on the tender but not in the bike (as in if you jump it it will run till you stop or the rpms drop then its dead as a door knob....

Not to jack the tread... But its not the battery in my case as it is a brand new battery and will hold a charge while its on the charger.. The bike generator is just not re charging it. Which leads to 3 things being the issue. The rectifier, generator, or stator... Have to read your manual (I think you have an 04 or 05 so different then mine) to run some test with a multimeter I personally don't touch anything electrical so I have to rely on james to do it for me which he is semi lagging. I know my rectifier on my old bike went out and wouldn't stop charging the battery.. Now this bike won't charge. So I might just say fuck it and change the rectifier as I can't find a whole generator anywhere....

damn im so hopping its my battery because my friend left my lights on for like no more then 10 seconds, and when i started it it would click over and my hids would flicker. so now i just charge my battery till i get a new one.

yup mine did the same thing... you do need to either switch them to the high beams or wire up that secondary switch i was talking about (read a long discussion on it on the RR forum) because they say having the HID on at the intial start up does draw alot of power http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=1592

There's one that runs in Mira Mesa every other thursday I believe, at the starbucks on Mira Mesa Blvd. And the Togo's one in mission valley should be starting up soon. House of Motorcycles also has one on the last friday of every month at Joltin Joes in La Mesa.

Santa Monica Mountains own all. Thankfully I'm very close by to it. If you wanna hit up some real canyons thats worth the drive, its the santa monica mountains. Its not some 200 miles worth of freeways just to do 30 miles worth of canyons...its more like 1000s miles worth of canyons. You'll never look at life the same.

santa monica canyons sound pretty good. have any idea how to get there from bike night at friscos in city of industry? Kinda far for you. Not sure on how to get there. Here's an address of a spot I meet up with under riders to tear up the canyons. 5422 Topanga Canyon Blvd Woodland Hills, CA 91367 address is to a shopping center in front of a starbucks. Alot of people meet here to fill up then go down topanga canyon blvd to connect to the canyons.
