hey eurogix6 Here in OZ our roads aint the best due to lazy council workers who always patch up holes. But we do have some great roads to ride on. In sydney we have a few good spots that bikers like to go. Old putty road that is out my way west of Sydney which goes up the blue mountains. Old princess HWY which goes up the coast froom Sydney and down south of the city is the National Park down to the "gong". Guess the best part about riding here is our wonderful weather. :)

my girlfriend has lot's of family in Sydney and surroundings.. We are planning to go there for half a year within the next few years.

Basdeg, so where do you do most of your riding? Most of the time I ride around Bloemendaal and Zandvoort.. Planning on going to Germany this summer and try the Autobahn. But first I am of to Finland this next week.. not with the bike though, just some work stuff :hmmm:

Holland isn't a very good country to own a bike (short roads, low speedlimits, lot's of police, no good turns). But I make the best of it. Finland, I heard alcohol was expensive, but since it's a business trip my boss will be paying for my liqour :cool: I have been to Antwerpen a couple of times, nice city.. have you ever been riding in the Ardennen? I imagine that should be nice!

yep the Ardennes are fantastic, especially if you can avoid the weekends as it can get a bit hectic if the weathers good. Give us a shout if you get back down this way, meet up. Or maybe we can arrange to ride sometime

Forget about the Autobahns, the Black Forest is good aslo Austria and Switzerland but the best by far is the South of France.

Stop whining :P You could also have the 55MPH speed limit even lower than ours. But more than enough twisties in Holland. Try the region of Gelderland for a change. Lot of 'dijkjes', just don't ride there on a real good sunny sunday. Too much cyclists.

narrow it down some then, tell us the good roads (no speed traps, plenty of bends!).

Hi! I'm from North Italy. Roads are good here, but police is getting a lil bit bastard with bikers these times... I've been in the Netherlands ans Belgium 3 times, but by car. I usually make a trip to the south of Germany in the summer, and Austria and Switzerland too. Sweet places. Nice twisties!!! I know for sure that here in the forum there are also 2 or 3 germans and at least one from France. Hope to meet some of you, sooner or later...

What about Vejle, Denmark? Anyone have some infor on that. From what I've heard it's not close to a lot, but it looks like career wise I would benefit more in Denmark than the Netherlands.

The wifey and I enjoy threading through there often. Apart from the lazy council workers.....you Euro guys should try playing around with old fogers towing caravans and driving 4WDs / RVs all year round. They spoil a good ride often.

Aint much for twisties here just the local highway system... only problem is the only way the great state of kansas chooses to spend taxes on is "fixing" highways that have nothing wrong with them... last time they worked on K96 it took over a year to finish... and they just started tearing it up again... other than that the roads are straight as straight gets.... As for weather i recall a time when it was near 100 degrees and sunny to rain the next day.... snow the next day.... and then rain again then back to heat... Not much for riding in Kansas unless you got buddies... Any Kansas Riders on here??? lol
