Another Rider....Same Story..

A Fort Myers man was killed in a crash at Metro Parkway and Crystal Drive in south Fort Myers on Sunday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Thomas Paul Laudicina, 25, of 3900 Central Ave.., No 311, was killed in the crash, which occurred at 4:11 p.m. He was riding a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle. Juliana F. Nord, 76, of 13318 Tall Grass Court, Fort Myers, was northbound on Metro within the left-hand turn lane in order to travel west on Crystal, FHP said. Laudicina was headed south on Metro within the outside lane approaching Crystal. Nord turned left, dirctly into the path of Laudicina, authorities said. He was ejected and landed upon the roadway just south of the intersection. He wore a helmet but died at the scene, FHP said. Nord was not injured. She was wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.

sad...do you know whos at fault It depends on how fast the bike was travelling. Sad story.

news reports the rider was doing between 50 and 60 mph in a 45mph zone.... she turned in front of him.... 5-15mph over the speed limit in this area is nothing.. most people do 20+mph over... reason being, alot of our 45mph roads are 6 lane highways... as was this one..
