sup all. i'll definetly check out the web site mike. what kind of riding do you guys like? twisties, straight line, or what. i use to have an 02 f4i. i was into twisties. a couple of months ago i bought my current ride, which is my first suzuki. i tried the drag thing a couple of times, and it was fun, but i have more fun in the twisties. after i bought the bike, i comtiplated the idea of stretching it. soooo glad i didn't. not that there's anything wrong with that, but i think it would limit my riding in the twisties. i don't want to limit my bike to one riding style. later guys, i'm at work, and i'm about to take me a nap!!! :)

05-28-2006, 06:23 AM
TWISTIES is what im talking about. the straight line thing is not my style. i mean its fun everynow and then but nothing like twisties. i have just got my leathers in and plan on hitting ceasers head soon before i go back to iraq. you guiys let me know if you would be interested in a ceasers heads ride. hey jason ask chris too. later...

sup jay. sounds good to me. i just talked to chris, and he said he would go as well. what kind of leathers did you get? i need some. all i have is a jacket. i want a one piece. chris said that you are bad ass in the mountains. you must be because chris hardly ever gives anyone props!!! he's just now admitting that my bike is faster than his RC-51!!! when are you planning on going? my wife and i are on vac all this week. i bought her a bike, and we got to go and get her permit sometime this week as well. later bro.

now to get to the ? i like the twisties. we try to go to the mountians as often as we can. i don't mind goin to the drag stip every once and a while but there is really no point on taking the 600 out there. b/c it's a 600 and i'm fat!!! hahaha but a good friend of mine had a gixxer1000 when i had my R1 and we had fun on them but we both really got more into the turns. he now has a 02 750 and i 've got a little 600. we try to do a couple of track days a year and June 23 were goin to a cornerspeed school at VIR :bounce were both really looking forward to that to learn as much as we can. let me know when yall want to try to get together hopefully i can make it. next weekend would be great for me. i'll be off all weekend. my bud Chris is off next weekend too. yall just let me know if that works for yall

thanks mike for the website. i'll check it out. any input on what a good suit will be, and would a one piece be better than a two piece??? should i buy one big enough to wear jeans under??? first timer for me. i'm fairly new to this. i've had a bike on and off for years now, but i'm just really getting interested into twisties. i rode ceaser's head once with some friends, and i had a ball!!! you guys sound like your pretty fast at it!!! i've only had my currrent bike for like 3 months or so. my buddy that i bought it from wasn't really into twisties, so it has chrome wheels, and a few chrome accents here and there. looks pretty sweet, but i'm thinking about changing it out. i don't know yet, i don't do track days, so i guess that i should keep the chrome wheels and just save my money.

2006 wolverine 450 4x4 only 25 miles on it. I really want to get rid of it. I will have to eat about a grand but I want a gsxr. So if anyone in SC wants it I will sell it for 5200. I financed 6000. But I also have a 1300 dollar trailor i would put with it and some gear all for 6000.

sup guys. like my bro rugged-racer, i've been out of the loop awhile myself. went on vac, and i'm just now getting back to my old routine. those leathers looked good mike. i'm still shopping around. are you getting tired of your 600? i read where you are wanting a 06 750. i also have a quad that i never ride. i got a 04 400ex. got a small fortune tied up in it. full pro circuit exhause with headers, k&n air filter, dyno-jet jet kit, and dg nerf bars. between my wife, me and our 2 sons, i have 5 quads!!! they are fun at first, but now they just sit in my building. been doing any riding lately? i rode a little on vac. been thinking about selling my bike and buying a cruiser. just can't make my mind up though. any thoughts on this??? i hate to give up the power, but my wrist kill me when i ride. do you think that if i lower my rear a tad, that it would ease the stress on my wrist? thanks in advance. later bro.

i was wondering about the gel grips my self. i might give them a try. mike, i've had this particular bike since feburary. if i'm cruising along @ like 65 or so, it's not a big problem. but if i start gearing down, it's awfull. my bike has alot of engine brake. i cut a few blocks this weekend, and it wasn't too bad. i played with the controls, but i ended up leaving them where they were. sounds good about that ride. let me know when you get back on schedule. my son finished up his last b ball game last week, so i know how time consuming that is :)

joking right - 35 minutes, that's nothng he used to stay at my house and go on our rides with us, he was minimum 1.5 - 2 hours - no traffic mind you. Staten Island/ Jersey traffic. You SC boys don't know traffic. I travel for work, and get to Greenville every now and then. I need to take a rode trip with our group down there soon. How far to Deals Gap?? Always wanted to go there. Watch out Paul's coming! I ride my 1000 pretty hard i think. There's that 6 coming in twisties "almost"(sorry paul) behind me, hey i can see him in the mirrors he's close! J/K he aint no renegade, but wait till he learns the rodes, jeeez! Now paul hold it down for the north!!! And map out the good roads, so that when i come, we can skip the BS, get right to the good shit! I hope these guys don't mind me takin over their thread!!haha I think i might have to post the links to the vids in the south/north area!! hahaha. Oh hope you are enjoyin those kids, i have been going with my son on the dirt, been a while with me on my gsxr, and his cast. But he got right back into it!! I gotta get some video of him!! i am so happy the KX60 hasn't blown up yet, you talk about rev limiter, holy shit. He still needs to listen to the bike more! Later, and get your ass up there with them saturday!!! chris

sup paul. i've only been one time. it's not too far from g-ville. i talked to a couple of the guys getting this up, and they said that they might ride to cherokee(prob. spelled wrong), as well. that's about 150 miles. they said we will leave about 8 or 9 sat morning, and be back home like 5 or so. it'll be an all day thing. it'll be a diverse group of sportbikes, and cruisers. mostly guys i work with. it'll be fun, and we'll be glad to ride with ya. :arsenal

tullock, i wasn't really joking, but you are right, 35 mins. ain't nothing. i was just letting him know that i live near him that's all. hell, it takes me longer than that to get to work!!! as far as deals gap, i haven't had the pleasure to go yet, but it's in the near future!!! i know some guys that go like once a year or so, and they said it kicks ass. i'm not sure exactly how far from here it is. if your ever in town, look us up. love meeting up, and riding with new people. :arsenal

00gsx-r750 - I can't wait for Saturday. What kind of riding?, Twisties I hope! Full leathers, right? I don't want to be the odd man out. You will have to give me details on when and where to meet up with you. Still new to this area, so not too familiar. I can PM you my cell if you want to call me and set this up. Tullock - when are you coming down here? Your company will put you in a hotel, and fly you down here, right? Save that money, cause you can stay here at the house, and spend it to drive down here with the bike in the bed or on the trailer. Then we can hit some of these roads with these guys. With a little luck, you can get Shoein to visit his friend in FL at the same time, and you can all drive back up together. Took me 14 hours, with the trailer, to get down here from NY. Not too bad. You would have to run this all by Vicky I am sure... The kids are great. I missed them so much! My little guy is a nut on his bicycle...nothing compared to Brandon on his MX I am sure. So far I have been trying to do a few things around the house and spend time with the kids. Maybe looking at a job with Michelin...I had an interview with them last Thursday which I thought went not too well...they called me back today and want to meet with me again this Wednesday, so I am fired up!!! The interview last week included a tour of the plant, which was really cool. I will fill you in when I see you.

The flight is $99 so if they throw me a few bucks for the ride down to make it about equal i have no problem with it. I could drop her off at your house, head down to Florida then stop for a day or two on the way back up. I'd love to be able to take my bike with me and hit up Deals Gap on the way back but i don't have really have a way of getting it down. I might be able to use my buddy Chris's CBR F4 if i take it easy (just to say i rode it). That would be the weekend of the 25th. Have some cold brews ready ;) Can't wait to see you bro :arsenal

Hey guys... Yeah Jason, rough ride on Sunday. I don't know what worse, the high interstate mileage, the nice ass twisties in the rain, or just spending about 4 hours riding through rain, period!!! I can't wait to just hit Cesars though. Maybe I am in this weekend. I can't really say yet. I hope you don't mind a last minute decision. But if we can hit Cesars in the morning, then shoot back, I am probably in! Mike, nice to see you around. Thanks for the welcome. Can't wait to ride with you too. What are you on? Maybe we can all get together the following weekend since you are out this one. Tullock - I guess that is the last time you will get John to tape you! What about Brandon, I was hoping to see him tearing it up too. Come on man, get the kid on tape! Also, tell him I am going to buy Moto GP 2 since I have my Xbox again, and I am going to whip up on him, so he better practice!

what day would suit you guys the best, sat, or sun??? early morning sounds the best to me, that way i can get home early and do my chores!!! the wife will be working, so i can go and play for a little!!! i just about got my cash together for some new leathers. i can't decide if i should just go ahead and get the joe rocket pants and have some cash left for boots, because i have a jacket, or just buy a one piece. if i did the one piece, i'll still need boots!!! another thing on the "to buy list" is some frame sliders. later bros!!! :arsenal

For those of you that don't know, this is the "old" wagon trail from Asheville to Greenville (HWY 276 above Echo Valley (HWY 11) in SC and below Stone's Lake in NC). See Map Quest for a view. It has more hairpins than a quilting bee. (and they are mostly blind except two excellent chicanes about halfway up) You should ride 276 to 64 around to Hendersonville and back down 25 for an all day ride. If that's too short, you can stay on 276 at Pisgah Forest, NC (Forest Gate) and ride to the Blue Ridge Parkway East to Alt 74 then toward 64 back to Hendersonville to ride 25 home. Wish I was riding up there this WE.

Hey guys... sorry I been out of the loop for awhile... too much to do, and had some internet access issues... Anyway, I am out for this weekend. Probably too late to put something together anyway. Jason - Buy the pants. You save some cash from getting a full suit, and it is more conveniant than a one piece. Just MAKE SURE it zips to your jacket. Usually when you buy just pants, they will come with a zipper sewn in, and the mate to it. You can have someone put the mate into your jacket so it zips. If you don't do this, and you go down, your back will get rashed up. I guarantee it. And for future rides, early mornings are better for me. I would like to be able to get back to have the day with the kids. Also, Saturday or Sunday, no matter to me. I prefer both...but not till I get completely settled. ClemsonTiger - That is about the ride we had last weekend. I remember being on 276 alot, and we went right through Pisgah, saw signs of the Blue Ridge Pkwy. That might even be the way we came home, not too sure. It was a nice ride, just took too long because of rain and getting stuck behind cars.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been around. I just started a new job this week, and things have been very hectic. I can't ride this weekend. Just too much to do. Maybe next weekend. Deals Gap sounds awesome. I don't know what my life is going to be like come that time frame. Work has some crazy things scheduled for me that week. May not be a good week for me to work all sorts of hours, then leave the wife and kids all weekend. If this changes, I'll let you guys know. BTW, just how long does it take to get from here to Deals Gap. I have heard everything from 1.5 hours to 3 hours. Is it really something in between?
