I have been looking at getting a new bike and I can not help but consider those "Custom Paint Job's" out there. I love my husbbies gsxr, but I want a real "Pretty" bike! I have been looking on ebay, there has been a few pretty paint jobs, but they were mostly older bikes! What do you guy's think, what is your desciption of a terrific custom paint job for a "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice" GSXR .

i think if you want a custom paint job you should pay someone to paint it how you want it and not buy one already custom painted. you should get it painted so it will reflect you and your personalilty. just my little input trying to help out but i think this applys to more than just bikes

my girlfriend has had 2 custom paint jobs on her 2001 gsxr600. the first one was a baby pink that was like a dull metalic like this bike. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/roadrcr82/detail?.dir=/b1a0&.dnm=1b07.jpg&.src=ph and her paint now is arctic white with pink luois vatton (i have no idea how to spell his name but you know what im going after) symbols on it. it kinda looks like a big purse now.

I am in Austin Tx and he could do the same as or any style you want (most good ones can),but you need to first come up with a ideal. I came up with ideal but he also was there to help on what would look better and such as well. I can shoot you him number if you want also where are you located for it to be the Boons Docks or the sticks as youo call it

Audi I am in southern Colorado, Trinidad, anyhow give me the contact information Texas is not to far for me, I think it would be better to meet for design ideas in person, plus I am talking my husband into getting his GSXR painted as well, so we would make it worth the guy's time, I like the color scheme on the bikes you posted, they look really nice, the gas tank air brush is really good to LaFemmes! Audi if your painter has any other pictures of his work maybe you can post them too. Let me know OK, Tax season is right around the corner    THANX

He has some really good work that turns out sweet. I did my first custom paint job on my 99 750. went Kinda soft on it, but now looking to do the k3 1000 and really looking to step up from the 750. I just may give that Bay Cycle guy a buzz if I can't get back in touch with the guy who did my first job.

I'm in VA My buddy and I have painted several bikes. No runs and they all came out $! Depending on where you go the price will be much different. Also how detailed the scheme is will cost too. I prefer solid colors or airbrushing on top of a solid color. Beware of taking it to a place that paints only cars. Anyone who paints cars can paint a bike, but it may come out like Shite if they've never done a bike. Setting the fairings up in the booth is tricky! Also they have to be preped and totally wet sanded 1st for it to stick good. Just don't go w/ the cheapest place. $500-2000 is the ball park obviously the more elaborate the more $.

It's not a custom paint job but something easy and quick that can change a bike big time. Just change decal colors. There is a picture on this site some where thats a plain black bike but has hot pink GSXR decals. Looks good clean and it's a cheap option.
