Teen Found Dead In West Broward Lake

(CBS4 News) PEMBROKE PINES Broward County Sheriff Office officials are investigating the drowning death of a 17 year-old male from Miramar.
Lawrence Wong of 5098 Southwest 168th Avenue in Miramar was found dead from an alleged drowning in a remote West Broward lake.
BSO homicide detectives were brought on the scene although foul play is not suspected.
Officials say Pembroke Pine police officers were called to a wooded area along Johnson Street just west of US 27 in western Broward County. The 911 call was in reference to Lawrence Wongs disappearance.
Wong, an 11th grader at Everglades High School, and several of his friends drove to the area to engage in a game of paintball. Later in the day, the group ended their game and decided to return hom. When Wong never returned to his car, his friends searched for him for almost an hour, according to police, but could not find him.
Several agencies including, Pembroke Pines Police officers, Florida Wildlife Commission officials and BSO deputies searched the area for Wong. BSO's helicopter completed several aerial searches while other deputies scoured the land on all terrain vehicles.
Saturday evening, Pembroke Pines Police and Florida Wildlife Commission divers located the teen's body in a small lake in the wooded area.
Authorities believe that all evidence points to a drowning.
Wongs body was transported to the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be performed Sunday.
