Don't know the guy but have ridden that road on many occasion. Very nice twisties not far out of the city. Kinda looks like he went into the turn hot and froze up. If you go to the news page on www.nooga.com there is a link to about 12 more photos. R.I.P. Thursday, June 1, 2006 --- Around 9:30 a.m. today. the rider on a yellow Triumph Daytona 675cc motorcycle, lost control of the bike and crashed on Suck Creek Road (State Route 27) just outside Hamilton County in Marion County. Suck Creek Road is a steep and winding two lane road that leads up and over Suck Creek Mountain. The rider , a male in his 30's, was apparently killed instantly when he and the bike slammed into trees and rocks on a wooded slope. His body was found about 35 feet down a steep grade. Members of the Waldens Ridge Emergency Services were summoned to retrieve the body. The volunteers with WRES used ropes and a basket to bring the victim up the steep incline. WRES, based in Hamilton County, was asked to provide mutual aid because of their skilled high angle rope rescue team Tennessee Highway Patrol Troopers investigated the crash while traffic control was handled by Marion County Deputies. The body will be autopsied as part of the investigation. The motorcycle was obliviously traveling as a high rate of speed prior to the crash. The rider travelled about 100 feet out of control on the roadway before leaving the pavement. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident. A thorough accident reconstruction by the THP should shed more light on the case. ----- UPDATE: Benjamin William Hamilton, 30, of Chattanooga identified as the victim
