Hi my name is Dan this is my first post, I had purchased this 2001 GSX-R 750 for $6000 the 2nd week of May. Went and got my Endorsement. I had been riding bikes since I was 8 and loved this bike. As clean as they come and only 8000 OD miles. I was going to the library when a 17 year old along with his friend cut out from a subdivision. I clipped his rear doing some where in the range of 20 -30 MPH. The good thing is I survived with only a couple broken tows, bruising and forearm rehabilitation .The worst thing of it all is I didn’t have collision. The aluminum frame is pressed in at the top to the forks. Any Input on what I might want to do . The last image was taken with my camra phone before the accident .. Hey Dan, KC from Fitness USA. The whole situation sucks. Early in the season with a tweaked bike, a bill, and the kid that caused the accidents gets away free. I wonder what the best option is here, part it out or fix it. It looks too good to me from the pic to part out. Anyone know what it might cost to replace the frame and front-end in used parts?

look in the for sale section and also check ebay, www.craigslist.com and motorcycle junk yards. the only down side is new bikes are numbered on the frame unlike older ones so if you replace the frame then you are going to have to go to the DMV and find what you have to do to reg and title the bike. You know that the bike is going to have a salvage title so full coverage is going to be out of the question. good luck with getting her back on the road the people here are like no other all you have to do is ask man and everyone will help where they can.

yo bro that sucks, you might wanna get a mod to move this to the crash forum tho bc this isn't really the right category, plus you'd probably get more response there

I think there may be a hack for the salvage title. Something about applying for a new title in WA. WIll have to contact the guy that explained it. Somehow he transferred a title and the salvage piece dropped off??
