I was returning north from Seymour, VIC about three weeks ago and tacked on with about 5 other riders along the Hume. Got to about Benalla and the bunch was cruising along ahead of the traffic when this clown in a Subaru station wagon (with kids onboard) merged into the overtaking lane and cut the lead bike off completely. Nearly overcrowded him out of the lane. Then the idiot got self righteous and every time one of us overtook him....he would tack on behind and sit about a metre off their arse. Everyone was a bit hesitant to go past this idiot because they would howl past him and he would tail them doing about 150-180kph. Then it got interesting when he started slamming on his brakes when I came up to overtake the goose. I screamed past him and caned it. Doing about 220 and hoping there was a cop around. I'm thinking about starting up a shame site to identify these idiots. This bloke obviously had a mental disorder. Anyone know any decent tactics to counter these fools?? I wouldn't have thought twice about throwing the size 8 Alpinestar out into his door panel but he would've ended up killing everyone including the kids. Friggin fool.

Is it just me or are the stereotyped Volvo drivers the second worst on the road nowadays?? Seems more of the weekend Walkinshaws are driving Subaru's now.

ive had enough of these idiots on the road who drive like this. Now if they piss me off its not worth getting back at them with road rage so now i just get their rego and infor the cops about their behaviour. If you ring em straight away theres a good chance that soon after they broadcast it on their radio in the erea and the cops will be look out for them and hope that they soon pull them over. Also their behaviour will be recorded to that vehicle of the manner they are driving. Ive seen this work for me as once had a stupid p plater driving in a manner like they do and cut a corner with me in my car which made me swearve to miss him. Called the cops staright away and just a few minutes later herd him pulled over as i had a portable scanner with me. Just think if you kick their mirrow or such they could simply call the cops on you if they get your rego and then you will be in the shit not them. But yes sometimes it does make you feel a whole lot better giving them a kick or a mouth full.

should have smacked off his mirror or kick the door in so who exactly has the road rage??? :headshake :headshake as has been said, the simple way is just to stay out of their way. If you stoop to their level, that makes you every bit as bad, if not worse than they are.

I'm a police officer......don't worry I'm one of those cool cops.... .....anyways, I had a kid nearly run me off the road a couple of months ago. He was passing people in the turn lane and everything. I saw him turn into a restaurant and get out in his work uniform. Badge in hand I approached him and identified myself and asked why he was driving like that.......in a shitty tone he said "I'm late for work and I don't have time for this".........I got his license from him and wrote down all of his information. I told him I could arrest him for the way he was driving........he says "I don't have time to go to jail man".......The next day I went to the magistrate and took out a warrant for his arrest. When I got back on duty, I checked the restaurant for the next 3 days to see if he was there..........when I saw his car, I went inside and arrested him right there, put his ass in my police car and took him down. I figured since he was so pressed for time, I'd go ahead and make an appointment at the jail for him. He said he didn't know if I was really a cop or not, and thats why he was so shitty........I'm like.......how about apologizing for almost killing me??????? :2hard

Yes in this instance you scared the shit out of him, but lets just assume he had swerved, taking out you (would you find that funny), your dickhead m8 -( I would find that VERY funny) or more likely some innocent passer bye whether pedestrian or other road user. Fair play! You really dont have a clue! :headshake

Yeah I'm sure when I left he was like "That pig ain't gonna do nothin' to me"..............you should've seen his face when he saw me in uniform.......he looked like he was gonna shit himself. He actually ended up being pretty nice to me by the time we got to the jail......probably cause he wanted me to put a good word in for him in court. He had been charge with careless and wreckless before which further helped my decision to pursue the matter. I usually don't get involved in something while I'm off duty because we are so liable for everything.

When I encounter idiots, its only a matter of time before they have to stop. I then take off their mirror and go along my merry way whilst tool-boy is stuck in traffic. On the open country roads, I normally have my video camera fitted to the TLR. I've captured some great fools, and presented this stuff to the cops. I've had a fool dob me in to the cops for taking off his mirror (mummy's car - so he obviously strung some 'innocent' story). The cops knew I did it, though I didn't admit it, and they also KNEW the prick would have had it coming. I biker doesn't react unless provoked. Went kind of like "no, sorry I'm not aware of damaging any vehicle. However, there was some kid in a Magna that road raged me!". They then go back to him, in front of mommy, and serve him with my complaint.

I should add, that taking off a mirror is the best retaliation. You can argue that the car drove in a dangerous manner and that your body came into contact with the mirror and you're thinking of taking action against the driver for the injury the mirror caused to (insert body part, i.e. ribs/back). The mirror is also the first part you'd be likely to grab or come into contact with if a car invaded your space.

you are not allowed to use marbles or bolt you will make DJR angry. how can you tell me i have no clue? you have no clue. we where on an open clear road when the insident took place and if you seen the way this cage driver tailgated us before near killing my mate you would have done the same. its like this mate. if you punch me in the face you will get two slaps back for it. maybe more. it was pure road rage on my mates part. so what. why should you take thing laying down. he would not have taken us out< we where out of there quick, nether would he have taken any one else out . there was runoff everywhere. my mate did what a lot of other people on this thread sugested what should be done. may be they dont have a clue. maybe DJR, you know everything. it the stupidest thing you ever heard? maybe. but that cage driver will think again before cutting lads up on bikes. and yes it was funny. ha fuc_king ha.
