Depending on my work schedule this weekend and the weather maybe I'll head east towards you. I should have a better idea by tonight I'll forewarn you though I'm a rookie. I do love carving up twisty roads but doubt i can or would even try to keep up with you. But we'll see I'm always down for meeting new people, and maybe I'll learn some things along the ride. I've been riding for almost 2 months and have logged a little over 2000 miles. Let me know if ur open this weeekend.

Sounds like a plan. I'm gonna be busy Sat (yay rewire server room at work ugh) but Sunday would work good if ya like. Dress warm hehe. As far as street riding, I don't ride fast on the street at all. I save it for the track, so I don't mind taking it slow. I also don't know the area very well, but I'm sure we could find a few interesting roads. My bike is running great, I'm definately gonna have to fix my tire before I commit to a long trip like that. I have been keeping an eye on my tire pressure and the leak is very slow. I have been doing what you suggested and it's working out better, especially on sunday when I went to hwy 49 and road some really nice twisties, some of them were insane and i had to take a few at a crawl. In a couple weeks we should go to highway 49 and make a day out of it, the ride is great and the scenery is amazing, most of the roads are real nice also. Thank you again for the help.

It seemed to be running fine on the ride home. Sometime soon though I'd like to flush my coolant just to do some preventative maintenance, after all the BS from that dealership I'm not too sure of their competance anymore. Did you ever get around to bleeding your brakes, we speant all day working on my bike any never got around to yours. i was able to do one side....i can not reach the brake leveler to do the left side....if you have some time on saturday i can show you how to bleed lines. it normally takes me about 30 minutes...it is just a matter of pumping the leverler for pressure.

If you're gonna be going on the track with the bike, use Water Wetter. You do NOT want to be the guy who dumps antifreeze on the track.

Yep, works perfectly fine on the streets. I don't use antifreeze in my bikes at all. And go to the track sooner. You just need to feel comfortable on the bike, and then its track time.

Thats what tracks are for. People have this idea that track days are just club racers tearing around the track and terrorizing the few newbies stupid enough to show up. In actuality, they are amazing learning environments, where MANY people from ALL walks of life come and are welcome. You'll learn more in one DAY at the track than you would from a month of riding the canyons.

We eat at Daphnes a lot over here for lunch. There's actually two locations in Roseville ( we eat at the one near douglas/sierra college) Their steak Pita is soooooooo good.

Take 101 South (Towards the City) and then take the PCH (Highway 1) going North. Great ride, and you can cut back to the 101 at lots of points. Up to Pt. Reyes is a good day ride.

Just north of the OR/CA border here, but occasionally get in some rides between Yreka and Happy Camp, and out the Redwoods Highway to Crecent City.
