As far as street riding, I don't ride fast on the street at all. I save it for the track, so I don't mind taking it slow. I also don't know the area very well, but I'm sure we could find a few interesting roads.

yo dude...make sure you fix your tire first. how is your bike running? K6blackyellow750 11-07-2006, 12:28 AM My bike is running great, I'm definately gonna have to fix my tire before I commit to a long trip like that. I have been keeping an eye on my tire pressure and the leak is very slow. I have been doing what you suggested and it's working out better, especially on sunday when I went to hwy 49 and road some really nice twisties, some of them were insane and i had to take a few at a crawl. In a couple weeks we should go to highway 49 and make a day out of it, the ride is great and the scenery is amazing, most of the roads are real nice also. Thank you again for the help. damm !!! boy....you must really want to learn how to lean that rocket. i thought about calling on sunday, but i was really tire from saturday, i guess my age ....well my body is not like it used to be. all that squating...really got me sore. i went back on sunday just to practice my turns..((trackhomes)). i found a bigger area with more speed turn.....we can check it out some other time.:funny: K6blackyellow750 11-07-2006, 11:46 AM Yeah i know what you mean about being sore, all that squatting got to my knees and theyve been giving me a hard time the past few days. i was able to do one side....i can not reach the brake leveler to do the left side....if you have some time on saturday i can show you how to bleed lines. it normally takes me about 30 minutes...it is just a matter of pumping the leverler for pressure. to flush the coolant.....it is lot of time consuming. take all the fairings off like we did on saturday...then open up some hoses to drain all the bad coolant....inspect hoses...then add coolant. just in case....do not buy the coolant till your ready. i will tell you what kind of coolant and where to buy it....some dealers, want to get ri:funny: ch just by selling few items. if u know what i mean. Mael 11-07-2006, 01:46 PM If you're gonna be going on the track with the bike, use Water Wetter. You do NOT want to be the guy who dumps antifreeze on the track. K6blackyellow750 11-07-2006, 11:42 PM Yeah I know what you mean about stealerships, I'm probly gonna have to work on saturday and sunday. It's not definite yet and I'm not sure what hours, I'm kind of on call. If I have some extra time it'd be great to come by, I'll help you with your brakes and bring you a ton of shop-towels. depending on what time I have maybe we can check out those trackhomes.
I dont plan on taking my bike to that track yet, maybe in 10 or 15 thousand miles depending on my riding abilities. I'm very interested in going some day. When i do I will be sure to use water wetter, would you reccomend using it for street and twistie riding. I do a lot of commuting through traffic during the week and It gets quite warm here in the central valley.
hey zzgixxer on another topic would you take a check for that jacket, I mentioned it to my grandmother and she said she wants to buy it as an early X-mas present for me. Mael 11-07-2006, 11:51 PM Yep, works perfectly fine on the streets. I don't use antifreeze in my bikes at all.

K6blackyellow750 11-08-2006, 12:19 AM Alright thanks mael I'll give it a try on the streets, maybe I'll look into the track sooner also. Thats what tracks are for. People have this idea that track days are just club racers tearing around the track and terrorizing the few newbies stupid enough to show up.
In actuality, they are amazing learning environments, where MANY people from ALL walks of life come and are welcome. You'll learn more in one DAY at the track than you would from a month of riding the canyons. Yes, North, and South of you. Take the 680 to the 80 West, and then take the 37 North to the 101. Take 101 South (Towards the City) and then take the PCH (Highway 1) going North. Great ride, and you can cut back to the 101 at lots of points. Up to Pt. Reyes is a good day ride. rider101 01-26-2009, 10:19 PM looking forward to learning and leaning '08WhiteGixxer 01-28-2009, 08:40 AM Yes, North, and South of you.
