HOLY CRAP!!!! Most of the race was good enough, but the last lap was the most exciting I've seen. I'm not going to spoil it. You just have to watch it.

Chango Mael 06-24-2006, 01:34 PM I agree.
This season is turning out to be one of the best seasons ever. I really do love Valentino, but its a HELL of a lot more fun when he ain't winning every race by 5 seconds as easily as I ride to the store and back.
Great race. Executor 06-24-2006, 05:48 PM i have to wait till tomorrow til speed channel airs the programs :headshake :headshake ITACUD 06-25-2006, 07:29 AM Where did you watch it?
I've been thinking about subscribing to the motogp service that allows on-line viewing, but would like to hear feedback from others that have this ?
I have speedTV, but would rather watch it real time instead of 2 days late. Executor 06-25-2006, 08:40 PM The last few laps was very exciting racing. It was amazing how Colin got off track and made a pass on Hayden. He was really howling ass and you can see his bike drift a little. Just couldnt believe he went down on the chicane. :headshake :headshake.......Hope vale heals up quick cuz donington is around the corner. motorwolf 06-26-2006, 05:13 AM One of the best races i've seen recently... 00gsx-r750 06-26-2006, 10:33 AM i agree, an awesome race. arashi858 06-26-2006, 10:36 AM Where did you watch it?

I subscribe to MotoGP.com and it's cool cause you can watch everything including practice, qualifying, racing all real time. The only draw back is you have to watch it on their web page. In other words the screen is very small. I'd say 5in x 5in view. I like watching all the extra interviews and stuff, but when it comes down to the actual race I wait till it's on SpeedTV...If anybody else has subscription to MotoGP.com and know of a way to download the streaming media let me know! Mael 06-26-2006, 12:14 PM Well I havn't figured out how to DL them yet, but I just havn't put the effort into it yet.
You CAN however, just double click on the video and it will go to full screen. ;)
Anyone else find this disconcerting?

They used the A for the A-Style logo as the A in Assen. I just kept thinking "Hey, anyone up for some Assing? I feel like blasting someone in the ass."

You are not the only one that thought that logo was a little questionable lol!!! I was wondering how they could get away with that. It should have been D-Style for "Doggie Style" ROFL!!! allthatflash 06-27-2006, 09:35 AM Well at least now no one can say that Hayden can't ride to win and just take in all the points without putting some heat in the races. This was the exclamation point in that saying that he can ride with the best and WIN. I know Rossi was injured but shit he still ended up like 10th with a fucken broken wrist? He gotta to be the DEVIL man cuz that is not normal. But man can't wait for Laguna I'll there and I definately will post pics(I got PADDOCK passes also) for you all and party once Hayden takes his 3rd win for this season. arashi858 06-27-2006, 10:34 AM Let's see....Hayden on the number 1 Factory Honda team (The best all around MotoGP bike) for 3 years now and this was his 2nd win? 1st win for this year though. Lets see...Pedrosa on the number 1 Factory Honda team for his first year and wins his first MotoGP race after 4 races...Lets see how Hayden does when Rossi is well... ITACUD 06-27-2006, 10:44 AM Nicky's just now getting his confidence..... we'll see more wins from now on out from him ..... Rossi seems to be off his game all year so far........even pre-injury. Mael 06-27-2006, 12:09 PM Well, regardless of who is with which team and who has won what. Nickys leading the points.
We could talk the "shoulda coulda woulda" and all the "what if's" from now till the end of the season.
There have been plenty of times where rossi was battling and biaggi/gibbers crashed out.
Pedrosa WILL be a great rider, but he's really hit or miss right now. Not to mention Pedrosa spent how many years learning these tracks? About the same amount of years as Nicky has been riding MotoGP. Knowing the track is a lot more importaint then people think.
And again, the bottom line is, Nicky is pulling in the points. Would you rather win the battle, or the war? MotoGQ 06-27-2006, 02:53 PM Anyone else find this disconcerting?

That is the logo of an Italian clothing company that has only been in business for 24 months. They've hit it really big because their logo catches everyones eye & has them talking about it just as we are doing. Whomever came up with that logo design is a genius. His M1 was off not Rossi. He won 3 GP races and had 2 breakdowns on bike/tire.
Yes Hayden is winning the war and alll the shouda woulda is out the door. Your only good as your last race around heerrrr in MotoGP. I give him props even though its his 2nd GP win. Can't hate the man who has been very consistent this year and the latter part of last season. Still wished Rossi's bum hand hasnt happened... :headshake :headshake arashi858 06-27-2006, 09:02 PM Nicky's just now getting his confidence..... we'll see more wins from now on out from him ..... What are you talking about? :headscrat Rossi has not been off but his M1 has. Lets see... Chatter problems, someone takes out Rossi in the 1st race, 3 wins, 1 engine failure, 1 tire failure, injury and finishes in the top 10... Guys when you start defending rossi about the mechanical failures, keep in mind that its HIS job to develop the bike.
The thing that people have always said was Rossi's BIGGEST advantage was his ability to devlop the bike, and tell the engineers and mechanics what needs to be changed on his bike so that he can ride it the way he wants to.
Now I'm not doggin on him cause he IS MotoGP and is a rad racer, but it was his job to get the chatter problem fixed. Blown engines happen, and tires have defects sometimes, thats racin fellas :)
Nicky's the lead development rider for the Honda team and in charge of making the bike what its supposed to be.
Its all part of racin guys. DieselDan 06-27-2006, 09:19 PM It was an awesome race thats for sure.
I am really disspaointed for Hopkins he puts the zuk on pole and fell off the pace seomthing fierce. He can ride with the big boys but the bike and tires just cant keep up.
either he is very hard on tires or the Zuk just kills the tires too quickly, either way something has to be done Executor 06-28-2006, 06:27 AM I understand it's his responsibility to develop the bike, but he's just been getting the short end of the stick and you can't blame him for some of those. Still can't see him having an off season while taking 3 races... Mael 06-28-2006, 11:43 AM I don't think anyones blaming rossi. He is the best, period. But having an off season can lose the championship.
I'm just trying to keep people from Cheapening Nicky's success by saying "Oh its only cause this happened to rossi and he had a problem here."
Those problems are WHY people win and lose.
Rossi is great. But lets see how well he does when his confidence isn't at its highest, and someone elses is top shelf. Roles a little reversed from normal :) ITACUD 06-28-2006, 12:45 PM I don't think anyones blaming rossi. He is the best, period. But having an off season can lose the championship.

+1.....Rossi is da man, I agree, but he's not winning every race, so by rossi standards, he's having a bad year this year........we're almost 1/2 way thru the season and he's 4th in points...........He still has time to win the championship........ Chango 06-28-2006, 02:57 PM Yes, he can still possibly win the championship. And if he pulls it off, it's still going to be the most exciting season in quite some time because he's coming from so far back right now. I admit I'll be glued to my tiny little MotoGP.com window for the next few races.

True that, but I can't help but feel that HRC wasted their time and money on Nicky. I know he's an American and we need to support our guys but...I don't know, I just don't like him. I can't really point it out...I don't know if its the way he talks or his less then stellar performance till Laguna Seca last year or what. For example I actually enjoy listening to Rossi's interviews after the race, even though he doesn't speak English very well. Rossi is great on and off the track. When I listen to Nicky? It's like *sigh* I want to stab myself in the eye with a sharp stick! When he talks its long, drawn out and boring. When he says things like: I'm just tryin to get the "W" I just want to shake my head in shame lol...I'm sure he's a great guy, but he has the personality of a 2x4. Oh well! Even though I hate him, he is leading the world championship (Damn it!!!). Come race weekend I'll still be rooting for Rossi till the bitter end, then Hopkins cause he's on a Suzuki, then Edwards cause he's still my 02' SBK hero, then Pedrosa cause I like it when he spanks his team mate Nicky lol, etc... Executor 06-28-2006, 07:37 PM [QUOTE=arashi858]True that, but I can't help but feel that HRC wasted their time and money on Nicky. Took Sete to move to honda to have a better performance. Nicky probably just needed a jump start to believe he can ride for a podium every race. And yes hayden is quite dull when he speaks and the stuff that comes out his mouth makes me sleepy. lol.. Mael 06-28-2006, 08:02 PM I think a lot of Nickys press statements are somewhat dull and and to the point because of HRC. If you read Rossi's Autobigraphy, he tells a lot of stories about Honda that will really change your perspective of the team. Honda is the one thats all about the W. Thats all they care about. Its also one of the reasons why Rossi went to Yamaha.
Yall need to keep in mind that this is Nickys 4th season. I think he's doing damn awesome for 4 seasons. Hell, since Rossi won his first premier class championship, I don't think anyone, not even biaggi or gibbers has a better chance of taking it from him. And he's AMERICAN.
If you look at some of Nickys other interviews outside of the GP's, like on TWT and the extended version of Faster, he's a lot more animated, a lot more like his brothers, and I think he's just under a shit load of pressure.
Hell the dudes only 25, and is the top rider for the top team in the top motorcycle championship in the world. allthatflash 06-29-2006, 11:48 AM It was an awesome race thats for sure.

They say the Suzuki's eat the tires, the bike are just fierce of the the corners and Hopkins just can't smooth ride the thing, cuz it won't go anywhere if he does. Suziki's are made to be riden hard but Bridgestone just can't make the tire last on this machine. My 05 GSXR ate my BT-014 in the first 3000 mi hitting the canyons 3 times in the first 3 months. So I give Hopkins  cuz he can get the machine to the front it is up to the tire company to make a tire to suit his riding style and the machine Mael 06-29-2006, 12:26 PM They say the Suzuki's eat the tires, the bike are just fierce of the the corners and Hopkins just can't smooth ride the thing, cuz it won't go anywhere if he does. I hate to keep being the devils advocate. But Capirossi won Jerez by a country mile on Bridgestones. There is a lot more to it then just brand name vs brand name. Oh its a RAD book. I've read one of his biographys that was done by Mat Oxley and then I read his Autobiography which was the better of the two, obviously.
They have it available at www.superbikeplanet.com
Definitely worth reading. MannyMalice 07-02-2006, 10:02 AM is there a GP race today??? Chango 07-02-2006, 10:18 AM Yep. The British GP at Donington Park. I slept through it this morning so I have to wait for them to post it online to see it. Or go visit a friend with cable.
