The Black Mamba 07-05-2006, 03:19 PM Hey all, I'm relatively new to riding and I'm purchasing my first bike a black/silver '06 gsxr 600 from The Motorcycle Mall in Belleville, NJ. I was wondering if anyone has ever done business with this dealership, because I feel as though they are a group of sleeze balls. I went into this place looking just to price a new gsxr and see what the financing on the bike would be. The salesman tells me that in order to even see if i can finance the bike, I must put down a 500 dollar deposit, that would be refunded if i dont get approved. He then asks me if i would like lo-jack installed on the bike and I told him that essentially i would. So after i gave him all my information and left the dealership, he called me back 15 mins later to tell me that i was approved and asked me again if i would want the lo jack on the bike and i said yes. The next morning I called the dealership to let them know that i didnt want the bike because I found one that was being sold for a cheaper price. The salesman tells me that I have to take this bike because the lo-jack was installed on the bike under my name. I told him well thats too bad and that I wanted my 500 dollars back. The only document I signed was the paper that had the financing information on it, but there was a clause that states if i don't take the bike, they get to keep my 500 dollars. I feel like that was an underhanded move because how can you install something on a bike thats permanent, when the salesman never even told me what my montly payments would be. Have you ever seen anything like this and what would you do if you were in my situation? I mean worse case scenario I am stuck with a really awesome bike, am i right?
02Telefonica 07-05-2006, 03:25 PM You're being fucked my friend... and I'd bitch and moan about that for a long long time but unfortunately if you signed without reading the paperwork and it turns out that the contract said they can keep your money there might not be much you can do. Sorry
The Black Mamba 07-05-2006, 03:41 PM Yea, it sucks to admit it, but i think they are having their way with me. The salesman probably saw that I was a young guy looking for a bike and decided to lure me into something. I won't ever do business with them again thats for sure and anyone I know won't.
burnoutboy 07-05-2006, 04:14 PM That's some bullstool. Take delivery, thank him for his time, then kick him in the balls. Just my opinion.
Lyte- 07-05-2006, 04:19 PM write to the BBB about them.. but pretty much your screwed
then tell everyone you know not to do business there
02GSXR6 07-05-2006, 08:39 PM before you do anything get a copy of the paper that you signed and call one of those law guys and go over it. you might lose your 500 but they cannot stick you with the bike if you have not sighed a sales agreement. so they are going to have to eat the lo jack thing
The Black Mamba 07-06-2006, 05:24 AM Yea I am gonna go down to the dealership today and see what the payments on the bike will end up being. If i can afford it I think i will probably just take the bike, if not i will have to just burn the 500, because the only paper i signed was the paper stating i was giving them the right to finance the bike and that i put a 500 dollar deposit down. I guess this just turns out to be a huge lesson learned, that you really do have to read everything before you sign it.
JFM GSXR 750 07-06-2006, 06:41 AM I used to live in Bellville, and I used to get my supplies from them. I was always tempted to buy a new bike from them but never did. In the future leave no more than a $20 desposit. A $500 dollar desposit they never want to give back, unless your credit falls thru. I wouldn't pay for that Lo Jack shit, tell them to eat it. You only agreed verbally. :arsenal And whatever you do, do not take the undercoating rust proof package!   Some salesmen are slime, snakes, liars, BS artist.............etc......... :2hard
jbluefish68 07-09-2006, 06:06 AM you should call your state attorney general, they'll at least give that dealership some grief and check them out. if you just give in, theyll try to screw the next guy that comes along. i know from experience since the dealer where i bought my 06 gsxr1000 tried to screw me but i got the last laugh and now ive got the fastest ride in town
Psygnosis 07-09-2006, 07:32 AM Every one knows the Motorcycle Mall does terrible business parts, sales, financing all the same. They recently fell under new management and claim things have changed for the better. Bull $hit!!! Call a lawyer show them thee paper work. Have the attorney’s office call or send a letter with their letter head. Explain the entire situation and be ready to sue. Make sure you let the attorney know this place has a lot of bad blood. You never need a deposit to have your credit checked. These people get away with what the do because they are in an urban area and they're the biggest dealer in NJ. Chances are if you do buy a bike from them you'll still have problems.
Stay on top of it and good luck

The Black Mamba 07-09-2006, 10:23 AM Thanks I really appreciate everyone's help, because these guys are completely full of it. When i first told these guys that I wanted my money back they told me that the bike was all ready and set to go. I called them this saturday to go down there and straighten it out and they tell me that the bike isnt even there and that it will be delivered on tuesday. Its complete bullshit. I can't deal with all this. I mean i want these guys to pay for screwing over so many people, but its tough when I work full time and what not. I am gonna talk to my lawyer though.
02Telefonica 07-09-2006, 10:26 AM If they're telling you now that the bike hasn't even been delivered yet, tell them to fuck off and cancell the lojack that they never installed. Get it done somewhere else and be done with the assholes
breal070579 07-09-2006, 12:04 PM when ever you get a bike \car ect 9 out of 10 times that you get small options put on it is done at the dealer ship unless it is really maijor work low jack can be installed in about 20-30 minutes and sinc the bike isnt even there yet then they have not installed the lo jack .....
talk to your laywer give the dealer your lawyers bussiness card and tell him to be expcting a call and leave dont argue.
The Black Mamba 07-10-2006, 02:57 PM So I just found out that after calling lo jack to find out if the lo jack was even installed on the bike, the dealership has not confirmed they installed it. The lo jack company has all of my information but it was never confirmed. So not only do they not have my bike at the dealership, they haven't confirmed the installation of the lo jack. These guys are a bunch of liars. BOLD FACED LIARS.
breal070579 07-11-2006, 02:25 AM people think they can get over on any body. But the ones that are harmed are the ones that dont seen like a threat, but in reality their the ones you have to look out for. (REMEMBER ASS HOLES YOU CAN PULL US AROUND BY THE B@L$ BUT WE WIN IN THE END!!!!!!!! :thefinger)
