Rode to Starved Rock state park today. Did the ride to the park 4 times and made the mistake of actually entering the park. On my way out of the park I passed Conservation police going the other way. Didn't think much of it since I was following two guys on Harley's with another two about 300 feet behind me. We were doing about 30 mph in a 25 zone. The Conservation cop turned around passed the two riders in the back and pulled me over. He gave me a ticket for 50 mph in a 25 zone. I told him he was lying, but he gave me the ticket, told me what he had seen and that it was on Radar. Normally I would have been speeding but I was stuck behind two slow riders. WTF :headscrat my first speeding ticket in about 12 years.

I ride around there once and a while but I have yet to be harrased..I am usually there at night though, it is a rush to fly down those roads in the dark even though i know i am a tard for doing so. SOrry to hear about your ticket :headshake

did you ask to see the radar???? last i knew in the state of illinois they are required to show it to you.

Yea I asked to see it and he said he would show it to me, but I didn't go look at it. It was probably the H-D guys behind me or someone else's speed so what goood would it do to look at it?

he was just being a douche ... i woulda been like uhh no and took off . i hate the conservation dick heads... in wonder lake unincorporated dick head cons. off gave a guy a ticket for rolling his 4 wheeler off rolled it off the truck , on the street and rode it into HIS driveway and was given a ticket ... ummm PRIVATE PROPERTY YOU BASTARD . dude fought it and won ...

Check into the laws for enforcing a radar ticket, and you'll be surprised at how easy they are to beat.

hey man sorry to hear about that , myself i would have not stuck around , thier fuckin pricks up thier , i live in bloomington normal and my bike club rides up thier once and a while we usually dont go into the park but the roads by utica are pretty nice for being in IL , id fight it those duchbags :arsenal I HATE LYING COPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha totally understand what u mean about wonder lake, i live off of thompson and the redneck cops do everything in their power for an extra buck!!!!
