Need a good Mechanic

Have an 01 Gsxr 600. Won't start. Anyone know somebody good at working with bikes. Live in the Federal Way/ Auburn area and won't go to Hinshaws ever again. They're idiots and disrespectful.

I agree. Don't go to Hinshaws. Being fairly new to the area I was bringing my '92 there for service many times. The last time I brought it there they did some work to it that I didn't ask for, never called me beforehand to tell me and then quoted me an outrageous price. I won't be going there again. I have heard pretty good thinks about Tacoma MOtorsports on Center St. just off I-5 but the wait can be a while. Also, I have heard good things about RMC in Renton as well. I'll let you know if I hear anything else. There are some good mobile mechanics in the Tacoma metro area as well.

I got lucky. I finally got in touch with a guy through the Drama Boyz.

I know of a great mechanic now. Went to school for it also and races bikes. So if anyone in the King County area is interested pm me and i'll give you his number, He lives in Tacoma.

Is it Faran? I am about to get my valves adjusted on my '02 through him and heard great things. I've met him before on some of our rides and I would say he specializes in Gixxers. I agree about Hinshaw's....I just bougt my first sportbike and when I went there to find a GSXR 600 they would not give me the time of day. I figured it was because I am a female. They will not get any business from me. I'm keeping note on the suggestions for a good mechanic, I may need one someday.

Sprint i'll ask him. I know he's busy but i'm sure he wont care. He's licensed and is good with gsxr's. Cin i had my oil changed there once (@Hinshaw's) and they didnt even put my plug back in all the way. Almost wrecked my bike getting on 167 cause all the oil went underneath my back tire. I buy all my stuff at cyclegear on Auburn way N now and have Pherin work on my bike. They're pretty cool up in there at cyclegear.
