my friend's buddy got a k6 gsxr..... for........... $12000 (something). MAN, the dealer was a North Hollywood Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha dealership somewhere. then i told him about Lacyclesports, price quote for a k6 gsxr was 9499, which is a lot better than a $12000. Then i also told him about a deal that went through at Corona motorsports, a k6 CBR for $5500 OTD. DAYM nice price eh. hahahahaha, made me think. but yea, just an interesting lil story for the day i guess. THAT FRIEND WAS PISSED OFF!!!!
Too bad. But, he kind of brought it on himself for not shopping around. :headshake

that $9499 quote was probably before titling, liscensing, taxes and a bunch of other stuff.
they list new r6's for like$9500 but my buddy bought one and by the time he was doen the price was like $11500.

ya, they add stuff on to it generally. I'd say $12000 for a brand new gsxr1000 aint too bad. they tell ya $10000 at the door, and then theres assembly fee, inspection fee, tag fee, taxes .. bla bla

I paid $12,338.17 OTD tax, license, helmet, Joe Rocket jacket and gloves in October 05' for a K6 1000.....your budies price seems about right. The $9449 number you mentioned is most likely before the dealer charges, assembly and whatever else they throw in....They are not building any more 1000's for 06' so they are holding their price, "if you can find one". At the same time you can get a RR for $2000 off...they have lots of them.....guess they didn't sell to well! :infrandom
