SAN DIEGO: Thursday Bike Night

I created a new Yahoo group--- it's called San Diego Bike Night, and its purpose is to provide a way for people we meet at Thursday bike nights a way to keep in touch and set up rides and get reminders about bike night and weekly pre-bike night rides. Those guys at bike night with gixxers can still sign up for the San Diego Bike Night for weekly bike night ride annoucements, and I've added a link in that group to this gixxer group for fellow gixxers to talk. There is already a yahoo group for San Diego riders. Checkout the thread started by Vengence. Yeah, I know, but my understanding is that SoCalRiders is a yahoo group for THIS forum, ie, gixxers in Southern California. SDBikeNight is a very local group, ie, people who meet at bike night on Thursdays--- a lot of those guys ONLY meet at bike night, and a lot of those guys are new to riding. I decided it would be good to have a group just for them instead of mixing it up with SoCalRiders. We have a weekly pre-bike night ride so those interested can meet up and see what everyone is about, and I don't want to splatter postings all over the other forums I'm a member of just to get that word out. SDBikeNight has an area of links to other bike groups, like gsxr.com, the aprilia forum, ducati bike nights, etc. If someone wants to join I think of it more like a launching point to other groups. Maybe it's a silly idea. If it is, it will die on its own.

So Cal Rider is open to all types of bikes not just Gixxer's... We actualy have a few Honda and Yami riders that are members already. A separate group for bike night will not hurt though, since the So Cal group seems to have about 10-15 messages a day :) A bike night post here and there would get lost. Someone can still put the bike night on the calendar though. I think there is a way to set a recurring event for the same time each week. I didn't know you guys had a bike night in Mira Mesa, I've been looking for a bike night for months now!
