Sweet. Thanks for the invite. Will definately do! vwsteve 09-19-2006, 06:09 PM from the Columbia Mo area. The above post of Missouri being sick? I have to say we have no shortage of roads that are twistie and extremely fun. I have ridden in southern Missouri around Branson and northern Arkansas area...We have a group heading down to Arkansas next weekend (Sept. 29) for the Bike Blues and Barb q rally, its a hell of a time with great roads to get to fast. We are going to hit push mountian road in Arkansas ( suppose to be one of the best roads in Arkansas, kinda amini deals gap).
Steve RubbertoRoad 09-19-2006, 10:35 PM From columbia yeah? I'm near St. Louis. If you're ever out this way let me know. Theres enough fun to be had a lot closer. hwy 94 goes from St. Charles to Jeff. City. ALL I repeat ALL Bluffs, and twisties. I'm born and raised so if you like to go fast I have a ggod idea where the cops hang out. Chango 09-20-2006, 01:43 AM from the Columbia Mo area. The above post of Missouri being sick? Unless you're some kind of weirdo, you will not be disappointed by Push Mtn. It is good and twisted with fantastic pavement. It's one of those roads that goes from nowhere to nowhere so it doesn't get all that much traffic most of the time, except from bikes. My only gripe with it is that it's a couple of hours north of me.
Chango vwsteve 09-20-2006, 06:39 AM love 94, we go to Herman for Octoberfest every year on our bikes. Man its a great road. As far as push Mt road going nowhere to nowhere that sounds like a bikers dream, I have been told it will be fun. Next weekened Sept. 29 we will be there enjoying being in the middle of nowhere....can't wait.
Steve RubbertoRoad 09-20-2006, 08:22 AM As I said I'm an atlas of the area. Hwy T, Hwy F, Hwy D, Hwy TT, OO, M. THe list is a mile long. Shoot me a line and I can give a tour of MY fav. line through the bluffs. No dissappointment here. Always looking for someone to ride with.(safety in numbers) My old man sports a 1400+ pound gold wing. so he's not much fun on the twisties. always whining about scraping something or another. vwsteve 09-20-2006, 02:03 PM if you ever want to make it to Columbia or meet up with us on 94 we ride that area at least twice a month, their is usually aroung 20-25 bikes in the pack. Saftey in #'s is so true more ways than one...maybe we can hook up for a ride.
Steve RubbertoRoad 09-20-2006, 02:26 PM Just give a little notice next time you go. Be more than happy to meet up. And I go through columbia every other friday and sunday. I have custody of my three kids and their mom lives in KC. Trailering the bike would be an option for a meet. Just let me know. vwsteve 09-20-2006, 06:33 PM the next time you are going through just give me a call, we will be riding toward Herman during Octoberfest, ever over that way during the festival? pm me and I'll get you my number...is that your ride in the pic if so is it a 750 or 1100? Steve RubbertoRoad 09-20-2006, 07:23 PM The bike's a 750. just gave $600 for it!! changed the oil, plugs, and started it with sea foam. smoked like hell and got all chattery. Put a couple seals in the carbs and ran some lucas oil stabilizer through and it runs like a champ.
As far as the festival, last time I was there they were having a tough truck contest I was in during high school. Got third. be happy to join you though. we're actually going through this weekend but there are already plans. probably try and make it sat. the 7th possibly sunday too I guess. is the festival all month? Oh, and I'm new what's pm email? vwsteve 09-20-2006, 08:09 PM have not used it yet, just didnt want to put out my phone # for the whole world to see. e mail me at vwsteve1991@yahoo.com. I love the old gsxrs they seem to have something about them. I had a 86 750 and wish i still had not gotten ride of it. Ridden a 93 750 that beloned to a good friend. i would like to get an old air cooled 1100 just to have they look and sound so neat. Try and make it up there on the 7th. later
Steve Chango 09-20-2006, 10:34 PM Here's a video a buddy of mine found of Push Mtn, just as a bit of an appetizer...

Steve vwsteve 10-01-2006, 06:47 PM Arkansas was great, nice people and a very large amount of extremely good roads to ride. We had a blast riding push mountain rd, 123, 74 out of Jasper, 7, 71 into Fayetville, and about 30 other roads i do not remember. All in all we got in about 250 miles a day (3 days of riding) and darn near wore the edge out of my tires lots of tread left in the middle though. Welljust wanted to update people on my trip. Three times the old 00 750 has been to Arkansas and three time its had as much fun as me. Oh yea the bike blues and bbq in Fayetville is awesome to go to, 3rd year for that also.
Steve RubbertoRoad 10-01-2006, 08:37 PM glad to hear you guys had fun. looking forward to octoberfest. :bounce may have to ride the old ninja but she'll keep up. :hmmm: be goin down saturday morning, the fourteenth. I'll let you know. Chango 10-01-2006, 09:39 PM Speaking of rides in October, I'm planning on going to Hallett in Tulsa on the 22nd. I haven't been to a track since May or something, and I'm getting all antsy just thinking about it.

You're telling me! It's been way too long. On top of how long it's been, last time was only for one day, so it's twice as bad! Next year I may not be in the area anymore. I graduate in December and I'm looking at a couple of jobs in the Atlanta area, so I'll have a lot more tracks to choose from. Hmmmm... Road Atlanta, Barber will only be 2 1/2 hrs, Jennings about the same, one in South Carolina, Talladega, and it seems like another one, but I can't think of it right off hand...
