ORANGE COUNTY: Fundraiser Car Wash August 27th!!!

Hey guys i had a really close friend (aaron aka. My_gsxr750) in the hospital since July 4th from a nasty motorcycle accident on the 91 Freeway @ State College. Turns out he doesn't have medical insurance. He broke broke both his arms, fracture hip, ribs, nasty road rash, still haven't determined how sever is his brain damage, broke his jaw, his teeths. His bills will probably be close to half a million. Ouch!!! :scared Car Wash: Sunday August 27th on the Corner of Brookhurst & Warner. Time: 10am-4pm. Mobile 1 Gas Station. What's there: DJ, donations are accepted for washing either your bike or car, maybe BBQ. Thanks!!! :fork

BTW if you speak to his parents (been working in medical company/ insurance for a while now) you may want to mention/ suggest that his parents starting filling out paperwork to get him on medi-cal or medicare or cal optima. there are lots of programs out there for people who do not have insurance.

We were down there from 11:00 to about 1:00 before we hit up PCH. I payed $25 to get my bike washed. :thumbup:

He was very excited and told me to tell those thanks for him. LOL my girlfriend and I woke up all soar HEAD TO TOE!!! :laughingr My whole back has sun burn and everybody from the wash is either sore or has sun burn. LOL! I'll post pics soon. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

i didn't make it back from SD in time to make it to the car wash (so much damn traffic) so i stopped by the Hospital with a couple of people and spoke with aaron yesterday... from what i heard from road dogs there are a couple more fundraisers in progress i believe a BBQ at el dorado park (geee wonder where they got that ideal from!) I stay my butt in town next time thats for sure!

you guys need to set up another fund raising for him.... maybe this time less painful? i can just imagine washing that many cars :lol: maybe a bike ride or something? this labor day weekend is coming up. im pretty sure a lot of people will show up especially peepz from san diego. which i heard they have their yahoo groups or something. donation like 20 bucks to join bike ride and if you gather about 50 people you have a thousand dollars right there for Aaron. i know its not much but every dollar counts. this fund raising will be fun and less painful.:thumbup: post another thread or something to start fresh if you guys agree.

A situation occured yesterday. :headshake *copyed from another forum* As a matter of fact i was the first one in there around 11:45am to receive the message from aaron that someone had told him about his passenger. As i first walked in aaron asked me, "honestly dan tell me did i kill a girl?". At first i didn't know how to answer with a straight face, but i tried my best. I told him, "no, you didn't kill anyone, who told you this made-up story?". He told me a nurse in a red shirt (that was correct). I furthermore told him that the nurse had no clue in anyway possible knowing that he drove wreckless in the past on his bike, so the story must be made up. *Remember this whole time i'm telling him this, i'm trying my best to keep a straight face*. 5 mins roll by, a student nurse comes in to give him his water through his stomache tube. I asked her if she knows a nurse with a red suit on and she says "yes, he was telling all of us nurses the story with aaron and how he killed a female passenger". By this time i was very upset and i wanted to know the nurser's name that had the red suit on and that was in there earlier. AT this point i call the parents of AAron's to let them know the situation.

I was there when they recorded the clip. Which nurse ran their mouth? I only saw a middle aged black lady and a white dude who in my opinion either didn't like his job or didn't know how to do it. They called him in cause aaron broke on of the rubberbands inside his mouth and he rather roughly extracted it (with out replacing it with another). I hope who ever ran their mouth is dealt with accordly. Aaron was in high spirts when I was there.. Trying to sing and dance around in his bed. At times I though I was going to have to leave cause I felt tears starting to form. Dudes been through a lot and he was enjoying all the attention and addressed everyone by name. Remembered past events.. It was great to see how far he came from the brink of death. For someone to go and try to hinder his recovery.. I know no words to say it best. Dan keep me updated on the bbq I will get some food (chicken and stuff) for it.

The nurse that told him the news was on Monday morning. The nurse i talked to was only an student nurse from Saddleback College whom just came into her shift and giving aaron his water through his stomache. I'll definitely keep you updated Q.
