AMA Superbike Title

So, it looks like we're down to Spies and Maladin for the title; the young vs the experienced. Will Spies be able to hold off his teammate and claim the #1 for Team Yoshimura Suzuki. Man wouldn't that piss Maladin off. I love the guy and have much respect for him, but he's been acting like a little b&@ch ever since Spies has garnered all the attention; it kind of makes me look at him a lot differently. Anyway, this is why I love the sport and I honestly believe that if Spies had not broken his hand last week, he would have taken at least one of two at VIR. That's history at this point. So, it's off to Atlanta! BTW, Anyone heard any update of Ben's hand?

haven't heard of any updates on Spies hand. yes Mladin is not happy that he is down on points and that his teammate has a chance on winning the championship. All these guys go out and compete and would like nothing better than a win. I think Spies can take the championship. Spies can only blame himself if he lets this one go. He still has a very comfortable lead. Mladin needs a prayer and a half.

I have all the respect for Mladin and think he is a great champion and humble about his accomplishments (at least in front of the camera). Mladin gives props to anyone that beats him. I'm gunning for Spies because I think he will also be a good champion and represent the sport of sportbike racing in a positive light. Not only that but Spies is from the CMRA which is the club I race in.

Spies or Mladin I don't care who wins Suzuki will always rule in this class for awhile making Honda, and Yamaha scratch there heads and I hope Ducati stays in for the long haul.

I personally want to see Mladin come from behind and take the title from bens little grubby broken hand....ok maybe that's a little to far, but would like to see Mladin come from behind. I met Spies this year at VIR after he broke his hand and he was very cool and in good spirits. He went to the autograph tent and gave a status to the crowd, then walked out and took pics with any fans that would ask him for a pic. I will post pics later. Side note. Eboz made a fan out of me at VIR. He was the coolest at the autograph signing. I actually went to take some smack to Mladin and Spies, and meet the Haydens, but Mladin was nowhere to be found. Yates was there, Jessica Zalusky was there.. I even Got Sanchez to sign it DIRTY SANCHEZ, He actually made it out to Filthy Steve, from Dirty Sanchez. Barnes was next to him and was rolling on the floor laughing, and telling Yates what I just asked. I don't think Sanchez knows what a dirty sanchez is. I told him I have a lot of autographs from a lot of different racers, but his was the best. But, Back to the haydens, and hacking. They were not very cool at all. Eboz was the coolest, besides Jessica Zalusky, they both stopped and joked and Laughed. I took a pic with eboz after his Formula win, I held the trophy and he gave me a knee puck right off of his race suit. Pretty cool in my book. I think it will be interesting to see if eboz is on a Yamaha superbike in 07, and what he will do. Sorry to high Jack your thread........GO MLADIN!!

Road Atlanta is one of Mladins favorite tracks. Really hope Spies can pull it off...he's work hard this year for the title.
