Frame sliders may be a good investment along with aftermarket exhaust, suspension, Brakes and Steering dampner

Frame sliders may be a good investment along with aftermarket exhaust, suspension, Brakes and Steering dampner I already have steel braided braking hoses...rubber ones tend to fade after few laps on every track...I just got a fiberglass tank-cover and carbon frame protectors for the rest of the season:thumbup: Next year I will replace fork cartridges, springs and the rear shock absorber with a complete WP kit...and I am looking at a Arrow muffler to make it sound better!:D I really do not see the need for a steering damper...the stock one is good to me for the time being...maybe in the future...when lap times will decrease...who knows!!!!;)

i want to make my toes spark too:bowdown: sparks do not give you too many advantages on the lap time...you'll better lift your feet!!! That was my first time I used this new bike on the track, and I had this "problem" with the toes sliding on the ground. I am now replacing the stock footpegs with arretrated ones...this will improve riding position...but no more sparks!!!!!;)

Hey Sharky, Can you list your parts and where you got them. I am looking into building an 06 600 race bike and the first thing I need to get is race plasitic. What brands of plastic work best on the 06? Thanks.

Good racing stratgey.LOL

What brands of plastic work best on the 06? Thanks. well...fairings come from an italian company that makes racing plastics for several WSBK teams, and provide plastics for the GSX-R European Cup: http://www.plasticbike.com/catalogoPHP/moto.php?marca=Suzuki&modello=Gsx-r%20600/750%20Mod.%202006 those are the best we have in Italy...they fit very well and you don't need too much work to install them. They do a lot of carbon protections as well...I bought mine from them for the frame. I painted the fairings by rattle can...work seems to be good but you need a bit of time to make them on this way...primer, paint, stickers and clear topcoat for protection... The tank cover is made in fiberglass too but I bought it on ebay, very cheap but it can avoid pitting of the tank paint if you slide in the gravel...;) Front brake pads are from SBS, dual carbon compound...the best I ever tried (even better than Carbon Lorraine SBK3...).
