Cody 02-28-2005, 08:03 AM Ya it's possible. Go to gixxer.com there is a write up. They have how to's on everything. usdm420 02-28-2005, 11:15 AM i'm sure its like a normal burnout but you ease off the front brake at the same time gixxer601 03-01-2005, 01:22 PM i just start a burnout normally then ease off the brakes and stand up a bit. the less brake you use the faster you go. when im coming out of them sometimes i use no brake at all wickmaster 03-01-2005, 02:27 PM I just lean a little forward and roll on the gas while squeezing the front brake. Got2josh 03-11-2005, 09:15 AM I found the easiest way to get comfortable with them was in the rain, or at least when the pavement was still wet from a previous rain.
Just get going slow, like 5 mph or so, get on the front brake just enough to give the engine something to work against. Now you slip the clutch a little, if it's wet when you're trying it you only need like 1k rpm to break the wheel free, just slip the clutch a little bit and dump it and stay on the brake. It should start spinning really easy. Now if it start to feel a little shaky just pull in the clutch and you're fine. After you get the feel for it start doing circles, sounds hard, isn't really. Just get the wheel spinning, and counterstear. Just a little bit will get the back end coming around, and the faster the wheel is spinning the faster it's going to come around.
Once you get it on wet pavement, it's pretty much the same thing on dry, I like to stand up and get my weight up over the tank but it's up to you. The only thing is you usually need a touch more brake and it will take a little bit more clutch. Slip it up mayb 2-3k and dump it, and if you feel the front wheel starting to act funky pull in the clutch and off you go.
Good luck man ZgixxeR 03-11-2005, 09:37 AM It is really easy to wash the front end so be careful. If you lean just a little to far to either side you are going to be on the ground. Got2josh 03-11-2005, 03:15 PM oh yeah, forgot to mention that, that's the only downside about doing it in the rain. Well, and you get wet jmfuentes 03-17-2005, 08:50 PM dude just dont forget to break your bike in before you do anything stupid 04gixxer6 03-18-2005, 01:39 PM For rolling burnouts I usually get going in first gear and then lean forward and rev the engine with the clutch pulled in and then drop the clutch. I dont do it a lot because it's not to great for the clutch or anything for that matter. Dstrbd GSXR 03-21-2005, 09:16 AM Don't forget that once you have stopped your rolling burnout, that your front break is probably still applied.. you might want to let the front brake out a little before fully releasing the throttle. bigjimbo 03-21-2005, 10:33 AM I lean forward and dump the clutch just make sure you practice with full gear and a already scratched up bike. First time i did it when the tire caught i went into some grass. wickmaster 03-21-2005, 01:32 PM Don't forget that once you have stopped your rolling burnout, that your front break is probably still applied.. you might want to let the front brake out a little before fully releasing the throttle.
Just do not let the brake all the way out. You will flip over faster than you can say wholey shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dstrbd GSXR 03-21-2005, 02:11 PM Yah, I should have emphasized A LITTLE :D wickmaster 03-21-2005, 06:28 PM Yah, I should have emphasized A LITTLE :D
:laughingr  SuzukiHooptie 05-18-2005, 11:26 AM rolling in first for me and revin er up and dumpin the clutch will send my bike skyward. real quick!...it dont matter how far forward you are.....of coarse unless its raining..or im pullin outta my driveway and i got dirt and crap on my tire.... sarasotamale 05-21-2005, 04:25 PM seems to me like a HUGE waste of money!! my rear cost me $266.oo! why the funk would you want to fry it? a trained monkey could do that to begin with, its one of those things that takes less brains than balls. :hmmm: wickmaster 05-23-2005, 03:47 PM seems to me like a HUGE waste of money!! my rear cost me $266.oo! why the funk would you want to fry it? a trained monkey could do that to begin with, its one of those things that takes less brains than balls. :hmmm:
Ever try it? Besides, tires from the salvage yard are pretty new and only cost 10-15 bucks. No smart person would go and buy a 260 dollar tire just to fry it off. Think about bro. :headscrat hotshot 05-24-2005, 11:56 AM I started learning with a standing burnout the after I got comfortable I put my feet on the pegs and slowley let off the brakes. If you practice when wet be carefull with the front brake if already rolling as it will skid on wet pavement.Practice can be expensive but when someone pisses you off its nice to spray their hood/windshield with rubber. cakemonster 05-26-2005, 10:12 PM did a lil burnout at a stop light today with the front break locked in first gear... just reved it up a bit and got feathery on the clutch to see what would happen..
sucker screatched and burnt up for a second, then let of and it gave a good bounce and some smoke was comin up. pretty jittery move, felt alot of rebound in the rear suspension dannygsxr1000 07-05-2005, 11:59 PM thanks for the info 2fast4u1000 07-06-2005, 09:36 AM i got an 05 gsxr 600......whats an easy way to do a rolling burnout....does anyone know? is it even possible on this bike????thanks...... just start off on a burnout and ease off a lil bit and peak your feet up. dont g et goin too fast cause if the tire grabs befor you want it to it jerks like a bitch 04StreetGSXR 07-06-2005, 05:15 PM Just want to say after i put the power pilots on, it was a bitch to do a burnout compared to the dunlop 208s. the bike just wanted to grab almost came out from under me KmansK5 07-19-2005, 06:32 PM I skipped page 2 so sue me if I repeat anything. As I'm riding, I stand up over the tank with my chest low to the triple tree kinda, grab front brake smoothly not enough that you're about to stop and fall over though, grab clutch, give some throttle(not too much), I kinda shock the front forks a little, to unweight the rear tire for 1 sec, that 1 sec is when I let the cluch out. I make it sound like a rough motion but it's a fast smooth process. I've had a beer or 2, wish I could explain it better.
As you progress you start to try to swing the ass end out back and fourth next thing you know you'll have donuts and shit. Getting and keeping control of a burnout is really easy if you practice a little, The only downside is replacing tires.
