I'm the president of the ISUMC thought that I would post here and let everyone know that we're here and see if anyone wanted to take part. I'm in process of putting together a pretty large event this spring. I'm guessing 1500 people or so. I've contacted UM cycles www.umcycles.com and they're interested in bringing demo bikes out and trying to get their name out. I want to hold a Battletrax type event, and hopefully I can get enough people together to take the MSF that they'll come and hold a class as well. I've talked to several other local dealers and they sound interested too. I would like to get lot's of riders and some show bikes out. We're teaming up with the Iowa state motocross club so dirt bikes are welcome as well as super motard type bikes. We are a tax exempt organization so all donations can be written off. We are also looking for a group of stunters that will come in for free and put on a good show. We have lot's of parking lot space and will try to make it as spectator friendly as possible. The date for now is April 21st which is the Saturday ending VEISHA. That is a tentative date as the veisha committee is not yet fully organized for this years VEISHA. We are still looking for name for this also if anyone has any ideas for that. We would like to get a couple racing clubs to come out and set their race bikes out for people to look at. We need lot's of things most of which will need to be donated. Anyone interested, comments, suggestions, Locals, ideas... my email is adowdell@iastate.edu

That's a great idea. I went to ISU ('01 grad) and was involved in the motorcycle club back then. Not much of a club really back then but more of a few friends getting together for a ride. I now live in Denver and belong to BRAG (Buell's club) and the Ducati club (I have an '03 Buell Firebolt, '98 Ducati 748, and '99 Suzuki TL1000R) and try to get in as many rides as possible. Good luck with everything and I'll talk to my brother (who is a senior at ISU) to see if he can round up a group of his friends as well (they all ride). Tim
