i'm looking for a turbo for my 06 gsxr 600. i could easily buy a 1000, but i dont want to. i want a turbo charged 600. the idea is to be able to smoke a1000 anytime, anywhere and laugh in his face when i do. haha . if anybody knows where i could pick one up it would be greatly appreciated if u could let me know. thanks.

I got the same bike and if i had the cash i would love to turbo it, But i'm not sure if it would smoke the litre bikes? there is a thread on this site with a turbo 600 and it was making about 130hp at the wheel, 1000's got more then that. but who care's it would be so much fun still.

my bike can already take a 750, but still not good enough for a liter bike. i'm hoping the turbo will kick it up enough to take one...or any other parts that can help me ?

get the turbo and see how it goes...you will never know it its gonna smoke one until you try, even if you lose you still got a bloody quick 600!

first of all you cant just bolt a turbo on anything and get imediate results, you can probably buy a turbo for a 1000, but I dont think they make turbo kits for 600's, problems with the clutch, and the nature of them being high reving engines, comes to mind,
I suggest what you dont wanna here buy a bigger bike, alternatively a NO2 kit may give you the performance boost your looking for and will cost you 1000's less.

If it were me .. and knowing what I know now with FI cars. I would do this.
Find a really good engine shop and have my engine built and hardend so it could handle the boost.
Then find a really good turbo exhaust manifold manufacturing company and have them make a custom manifold, pipe, dump tube, intake piping ect.
Then find a really really really good tuner to tune the bike.
But just expect stuff to go wrong and stuff to start breaking ... i.e. clutch, chain, your body, ect ...
I would not buy an out of the box turbo set up.
but just my 2cents

No "kits" available, but definitely do-able. Check out Super Streetbike magazine, they've got lots of good resources for custom jobs.
