Nice site for carbs, one thing it didn't mention was to first synchronize your carbs, ( this might not be for everyone) but everytime I pulled the carbs the sync would go out affecting the trial run ( mostly at the bottom end). 2nd was to check float bowl height...so each carb is with-in 1mm of level (depending on the float level, each carb may be made richer or leaner depnding on the level). unless you injected, none of this applies except the sync Ultimate way is to make friends with someone who's got a dyno :funny: happy tuning.

It DID mention the float height. It did not mention Carb sync, and yes that is deff needed.

Yes it mentioned float height, but was more in tune to getting them all with-in tolerance , it is awesome write-up... goes right into my little black book :) Would you know where I could get info on setting up and factory float height info on 38mm Mikuni CV BTS carbs?

isn't it the BST and not BTS? what year and model bike is the 38mm for? 94-95 gsxr?

90 and 91 had three different versions of the BTS 38mm's, I've got specs on all three carbs, American/Euro/canadian. If you need these specs, I'll e-mail you dirrect.
