Winter Gear

What kind of jackets/gear does everybody wear when its cold out? I was looking at some leather jackets at a local shop, and those don't seem like they would keep you very warm. Do you also wear something under your clothes as well. Thanks for the input:thumbup:

when i ride in 20-30 degree weather i usually have a few shirts on. Then a light jacket, a hooded sweatshirt, and my heavy leather jacket. lol. Then i wear my winter gloves and im all set

Feet: i try to have on warm socks and my normal shoes. Legs: i wear jeans with pj pants or sweats under and i stay perfectly warm Chest: tshirt, sweater, and my leathers. my icon retro leather is extremely warm with the liner in. my shift leathers are thinner and a bit colder. sometimes i wear a face covering (cant remember what its called) that i bought for snowboarding. it covers part of your neck and goes up to your nose. it just velcros behind your neck. i have a set of joe rocket gloves and my hands never get cold

i wear usually 2 wifebeaters and a thermal for a base (very warm), then 2 thermal tops (looser than the first), maybe one or two other layers.. then my timax 2 leather. next year, i'm going heated vest all day :thumbup: then a fleece neckwarmer and one of those skully things with that piece that comes down. super-thick champion socks and my boots. oh, and double-up on jeans, sometimes with thermals under- lol sounds like a lot of shit when you list it out :lol:

capilene long underwear, tshirt, jeans, thick socks, fleece sweatshirt, joe rocket mesh jacket with all weather liner. usually stay pretty warm

Whatever you wear the theme here seems to be do it in layers.

I wore this week... jeans,Oxtar boots, regular socks, t-shirt under a regular shirt, Rocket GSXR non-leather jacket with liner, Shompa head liner w/ throat cover( the best warm liner EVER!!!), AGVSport leather gloves, Shoei RF1000 helmet with breath gaurd. Stay mostly warm, but not "bullet proof" from the cold. Parts still cold? Thighs and fingers. The gloves have too much venting. OH! and underwear:rofl:

Powerlet liner to start with and a decent riding jacket, I rode home a week ago and it was 12 degrees by the time I got home and I actually was getting too wawm.
