Hi family! Thursday night someone passed away from a wreck. The two drivers that hit each other were under the influence of alcohol and pot. From what I understand one guy decided to hit a u turn from the right and his friend hit him. Ok so not only were they stupud but then this girl just jumps on with someone she doesnt know with no helmet or jeans or... I cant really figure out why Im so mad, I cant figure out if the girl just jumping on with no gear was because she was naive or ... could she have not known the risks? I have done that, I have gotten on a bike with a guy and went to the store or what not without gear... but I KNOW THE RISKS, so Im the idiot if something were to happen, so whos fault is it that she was on that bike. but never with someone that was drinking or high. I would be grabbing keys and throwing them somewhere... I dont know I guess Im just rambling but Im still pissed and this isnt someone any of us knew!

I hate hearing things like this. I know the risks and never drink and ride. It is bad enough having to dodge cagers and idiots while sober. I had a friend who had the same thing happen to him. Luckily he was fine and got a new bike out of the deal but his buddy just turned in front of him. Kyle (my friend) is a good rider. I also was out last year after I watched a friend of mine die in front of me on a bike when the same thing happened. It was messed up because the guys were brothers. One turned in front of the other with no warning. When his brother saw him he did a endo trying to stop but still hit him hard. He thought he was fine. I told him to go to the emergency room because when his brother hit him he hit hard. He didn't go and almost died. He ruptured his spleen and the next morning had a stomach full of blood. He had to have emergency surgery. Always go to the ER if you wreck and don't feel like you are 100%.

I was a witness to this crash and a friend to the driver that had the girl on the bike. Some of the ur info is true but the driver of the bike with the girl was not drunk or high it was the kid who caused the crash, he was the one high. The way it went down is we were gonna drop off 2 girls about a mile down to where there friends were at. I do admit that she should have put on the helmet but neither did. The squid was up in front of us in the right lane while the the guy with the girl on the bike was in the left lane and when this squid saw some of his friends goin the opposite direction he decides to try and bust the U turn in front of us. Well my friend and the girl had no chance, they plowed right into each other and she went face first into that squids bike and then into the concrete. It was all to fast but i ashure u my friend was not drinking nor was he high. Her name was Melissa luna (19) and my friend is the first to say "i should have gave her the helmet". He said he'll probably never get another bike. No disrespect gsxrnat just wanted to clarify those things R.I.P. Melissa Luna

It seems to be a stupid mistake. I know your friend is all messed up over it. I hope her parents realize that it was the kids fault that was drinking and riding and not his fault. I would have probably done the same thing. Usually I would make everybody that is riding with me wear a helmet but I can completely understand getting caught up in the moment. Sometimes we don't think that anything bad can happen like that on a bike. It's not that far and she should be fine. Normally she would have been but the stupid kid turned without signaling I'm sure. I have had this happen but luckily I was paying enough attention to dodge the person in front of me and I didn't have a passenger. Damn man I feel bad for your friend. I know how it feels to lose a friend in front of you. It's real hard when you have to face their family. I hope your friend realizes that it's not his fault. It was meant to happen. Godspeed Melissa

My heart goes out to all who have been hurt by this.I like to smoke weed but promised my self and my wife I wouldn't even think about riding high, not even to the store a mile away.10 years riding and never have, never will. Its a shame to hear someone losing their life from a completely preventable accident.God bless

stories like this are why my passenger seat has never been on my bike this is exactly the reason why youll rarely ever see a bitch seat on my bike...ive lost 3 friends over the years...i know my luck, something terrible would happen, and somehow id miraculously walk away from it but the girl on the back would die or suffer....no thanks....

Not knowing the risks is an easy thing to do. When I was 16, touring Greece, I rented a gsxr-600, and drove that thing all over the country side. No helmet, no jacket, nothing, just freaking shorts and a t-shirt. Today I look back on that and I'm like "Fuck, so glad I didn't crash". That girl just happened to be unlucky... sucks.. -Jason
