Mannnn, I gotta vent to the ladies here. I am sooo tired of this conversation... "So what are you doing to the car next???" "I'm not really doing anything else right now. I'm saving for a bike." "A BIKE??? Like a mountain bike???" "No, a bike, like a street motorcycle." "That's dangerous. A girl shouldn't be riding a motorcycle. You'll kill yourself." "Really? This little license that I aced all the tests on seems to be tellin me differently." "Still...I never picture you as a biker chick. So what are you gonna get? A 250?" "No...I'm thinking about a gixxer 6 or 750." "That's a lot of power...are you sure you can handle that?" "I can handle a car driving up the east coast from FL to Mass at 100 mph the whole way...why can't I handle a bike? I've been riding since I was 8...so what's the problem?" "Well, did you see that video of the girl falling off the bike when her boy did a wheelie?" "Yeah.....she was on the BACK....and she fell off cause her BOY was driving recklessly. What does that have to do with ME driving a bike???" "I don't know...I just don't think it's a good idea." "Yeah...ok...thanks for the support and vote of confidence." :twofinger :thefinger :bringiton

C'mon...if he ain't worried about it, they shouldn't be either!!! Oh, Jimbo...sorry about the you thinkin I was a guy thing...lol. But it's not a jacked up truck...it's an import car. Close enough?

I totally hear you guys about the ricers. Even I get my share of those idiots in Mustangs with the Type R stickers and japanese writing...especially since everyone and their brother thinks they were an extra in Fast and Furious 2 when it was filmed down here. :boxing: That's the main reason why I'm gonna get rid of my car, get something really nice, and get a bike.

The TSX is nice for an overpriced Accord, but at the same time I was looking for something more luxury then sporty. I want to pull up at my customers homes when I got out there and have them know I'm not some kid. I can't do that in my car right now. lol.. ...."Yeah, my insurance agent came by today. She's got an interesting ride. It's a Corolla I think, with primer paint (I'm getting ready for a color change), and 17" chrome wheels, and no air conditioning." Yeah...time for a new ride. :headshake

Wait a minute... I fogot I was in a biker forum  The ricer thing was a phase for me. I had a decked out civic. Yeah, a civic. I was a ricer. Now I'm a biker/Z71 truckie. Damn I love my life!!! hehehe, I've done it all when it comes to things on wheels... I got into the classic cars with my dad, learned all about them, then my dad got a job working as the plant manager of Seattle's Kenworth factory, so I learned about them (wasn't INTO them so much as I just wound up learning about them from my dad talking about 'em so much), then I moved to New Hampshire and got into the mini-truck scene, and did Carlisle, PA a few times for the all truck nationals, then after that I got into the import scene, got my Corolla, met some friends, moved to North Carolina, got into the 4x4 scene a LITTLE bit (but stayed with the import scene), then moved to FL where I am now, and because of my import friends, met my biker friends, and now I'm pretty into that. It's not a fad, and I'm not a hood rat, I just like speed and things that let me go fast...and there are a lot of options that allow that, so I want to try them all. lol. I think I like the bike scene the best though...the people are the coolest so far.

You know what I've been into the "import" scene for a few years now and I agree with CPAT hanging around with bikers is just better. You can have 100K in parts on your Honda, Acura, Nissan, Toyota, and no one gives a shit. You have a stock 04 750 GSX-R and they make you feel like a King/Queen. I don't think i'll ever leave the import scene but I won't be as involved as I use to be now that I have my 750. Just my 2 cents! kre8

i know where your comming from. Go look at the "import" forums. Its kinda rediculous. People need to grow up. Maybe its because people who own and ride bikes are older. Not some teenage punk ass kids in there damn imports. Most people I know who ride are in there mid 20s, and once in a while see someone my age. Maybe it also has to the fact that the "stunnaz/ricers/show-offs" don't live long on bikes.

i just got tired of the stupid trends.....everyone's gotta be JDM now :2hard fags........if you dont rock mugen/spoon then you're car is wak "hey i got amber turn signals, its jdm y0!" there's just as many wak asses on bikes too tho...gotta watch out for those guys on a side note..for the price of a tsx/tL, i'd rock a chrysler 300

BallHawk3
12-27-2004, 02:43 PM
a lot of mugen shit is ugly. I like the stock look honestly. Theres no point in destroying engineers/designers spent maybe years designing/building. TSX ain't that much. I'd rock one. Hell, the TL is even sexier, but thats a hefty price tag. Fuck chrysler, i used to work there, they're cars were pieces of shits. They'd make a great used car cause the price tag was so low due to low re-sale value.

usdm420

i dont like chrysler either but the 300 is sickness and the price makes it that much better

some people are making it out to be such a big deal like simple things like jdm honda stock floormats will give it horsepower. Living over here it's no thing. I love japanese sports cars. I drive a 180sx and i love it to the bone! I guess it's different in the states, seems like as soon as i moved over here i started hearing things from my sister and then it seemed to blow up in the states. wait until drifting gets insanely popular....maybe they'll get over the jdm stuff one day

Thats what everything is these days, a fucking trend. People fix up cars cause its "cool" and its a fucking trend, they are just gonna do it and dunno sqat about it. DOn't think bikes will ever become a trend, its alot more serious, and like we've said, you get one for the wrong reasons, maybe you shouldn't be on a bike unless u wanna look at a grim future. .......now somebody help me figure out how to set up this nitrous system on my bike

Hey hey guys, and girls.....Let's get back on topic here. A. I dont care if girls ride. my lady has no desire to ever ride herself, and I love the fact that she will ride on the back and hold on to me, its quality time together. 2. A lot of girls can outride me, and I give them mad props if they have skills. then again, a 3rd grader on a big wheel can outride me, im not so much a "racer" as a "tryer" I do try, i am just not all that good yet. give me time. D. That squirrel has huge nuts. there having said that, persecute me if you must, Im here for whatever anyone wants to say. - Jared -

I gotta be honest with you here.I dont care if a girl rides a bike as long as she can ride well enough that shes not a danger to us when shes ridding behind or beside us.In my experiance most girls ive meet that ride can ride well and for the most part there hotties too wich can cause acidents in its self.LOL.But i think more girls should ride and we should do everything we can to encourage and support them so you go girls And be honest guys is there anything hotter than a sexy chic tossen up a 2nd gear stand up wheelie down the street.NOPE!!

Shes right if your a girl or a boy is erelavant if your out there ridding your at the same risk as the rest of us and that risk goes up if you drive like a nut like most of us guys like to do.But if you ride carefull and you wear your gear and you gather experiance year after year the chance gets lower i mean youll never avoid the freak acident shit but you can avoid the ones that are your fault by being carefull ridding slow and safe and wearing your gear. But bottom line and this may be a new flash to some but "Ridding a bike isnt safe" its dangerous but so is life just do your best to min. the danger with the things you can control.I dont know thats just my thoughts on the topic.

i love girls on bikes....its a different form of respect(and lust)....especially my friend(girl) that rides an 05 1k....... but then again...theres some girls that i dont see riding....like a couple friends...int eh car scene here...who had/have bikes...and then their gf's want one.... those girls can hardly drive a car....and are so absent minded that it scares me they have a class c license alone.....but that goes for guys too....theres alot of guys that id be afraid to ride with.... and back to the import scene.....when i still had the wing on my sti(thank god its gone)...it was horrible...everyone and their mom.....any make/country of car...would rev.... me and my buddy in his evo would drive around town..and get flocks of ricers...that would come and if they didnt rev....they would follow us everywhere..and then when wed stop...would try and talk to us...follow us into gas stations...or wait for us by our cars when wed come out of places.....etc.....scary.. and when i first got my car...i was the 2nd sti in austin...and supposedly the first silver in texas....which doesnt mean anything now....but when i first got it...i had ricers follow me with video cameras...and run out(scaring me and people with me) just trying to get a picture or something.... im not one to think my car is special...because its not....but for some reason my car was a "ricer mecca".....

Hey my opinion on this is I think it is cool to see wemon on thier own bikes. I dont see how it is anymore dangerous for you than it is for me. Like I tell everyone that tells me those kind of bikes are to dangerous it is not the bike it is how you ride. So best of luck and have fun.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion, but as for facts, I know one thing my insurance is cheaper than my husbands, we are one year apart, I am younger, and neither one of us have any violations, we both have Class A CDL's and mine is cheaper for one reason and one reason only because I am a woman, and it is an insurance FACT that women are less likley to be involved in reckless driving accidents!! :laughingr We are considered by insurance companies at LOW RISK :funny:
