MY BLUE AND WHITE K7 1000 CAME IN ON THE 3/12 IM ABOUT 450 MILES INTO MY BREAK-IN. ANYBODY OUT THERE GOT A K7 BROKE IN YET. IF SO WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT. IVE BEEN RIDING A K6 750 FOR THE PAST YEAR WITH ALL THE GOODIES ON IT. ITS A BAD ASS BIKE. IM ONLY 140LBS AND THAT 750 HAULS ME PRETTY DAMN FAST. WE LIVE FOR CURVES. I RIDE WITH A VERITY OF BIKES AND THEY ALL HAVE A TIME TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH ME. ITS THE MOST AWESOME BIKE IVE EVERY RODE. MY NEW K7 1000 FEELS A LOT HEAVIER THAN IT IS. I HOPE IT HAS MORE POWER THAN IT APPEARS TO HAVE. I KNOW I STILL HAVENT GASSED IT YET BUT IT STILL FEELS SLUGGISH. ALSO I CANT FEEL ANY CHANGE IN THE BIKE FROM MAP TO MAP EVEN WHEN CHANGED ON THE GAS. I HOPE ITS STUCK IN C MAP. HA HA! WHAT DO YOU THINK? GIXXERS RULE  (HAVING TROUBLE GETTING PICS UPLOADED)

Feels fine to me. Better accelaration, weight, power, and comfort than my 01 1000. But +1 on not feeling any changes on the different settings. Maybe because I have not dropped a few gears and got on it hard yet though to be able to feel it.

You probably won't really feel it until you use full power in a higher gear. Rolling on the throttle will still feel the same. The bike will still power flip onto your head if you give it full power in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd... Chango

my buddy just got an 07 1K, you can change the map on the fly

That sounds awfully dangerous. Changing the maps on the fly would allow you to accidentally engage full power in the rain, which could be catastrophically bad. I can't imagine Suzuki engineers or lawyers allowing that to happen in this day and age of lawyers and lazy people looking for a quick buck. Chango

I've got one too, ha ha! You can change the map selection on the fly. I haven't found much use for switching the map though. Maybe on the track if it's a bit slippery but for every day riding just leave her in "A" mode and go. I found it to be quite gentle in the "C" mode yet fairly agressive in Mode "B" and in Mode "A" just hang the fukk on :bounce. I've had a number of gixxers. I traded in an 06 on this new monster and I can see much improvement. More power for sure, better cornering and even seems to ride wheelies better. Front suspension has been much improved. It's definately a confidence builder. Maybe to much so? My dealer ask me what I though of it after a couple of weeks and I responded with "If I were you, I'd order up a set of plastic in every color as you will see these things coming in for the first 600 mile service needing new plastic on one or both sides". The best way I can discribe the new 07 is "EVIL"! I can't wait to get this thing on the track and wring it's neck  Oh by the way, I find the OEM tires (Bridgestone BTO15) to be very good. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m62/WebfootCompany/Latest036.jpg
