Did Anyone Watch The Ama Races This Weekend? I Think I Like The Ama Over The Gp But Any How It Was A Good Day For Suzuki, Maladin Took First His Team Mate Took Second And Another Gixxer Took Therd, Yamaha Took First In The 600 Class If I Remember And Suzuki Took First In The Super Stock And Super Bike! Any How It Was Nice , I Did Some Rideing This Weekend. Fri, Sat, And Sun!

The first race, it was the factory team suzuki getting 1,2,3. Mladin, Yates, and Spies. Second race, yates had to pit for some tire problem, and it went Mladin 1, Ducati 2(I can't remember the racers name, he used to race in GP.)and Spies 3.

I haven't been able to watch any races on my cable... where do you find the schedule for them at and what channels???

Me and my girl sat just below the PLAYSTATION BUS and HONDA BUSES at the back of the course . it was kinda windy and chilly, but all in all it was a great weekend for racing!! thought i would see the Gixxer.co banner on turn 2 but i guess they wouldn't let banners be put up. anyway....Suzukis kicked ass. Also got mladin, Spies, Yates, Schwantz, bostrom, Hayes, Duhamel's autographs. That was kinda cool too. hope everyone that went had a good time. :thumbup:

You should have stopped by and said hello. :hmmm: I got the entire Suzuki team's autograph on a Team Suzuki hat. I also got Zemke's autograph and talked to Greg White for about 5 minutes. Greg seemed to be a really nice guy. Spies and Shwantz were very cool too. I am now a Ben Spies fan. Yates seemed nice, I like him now too because of how cool he was to us.

i went by several times and was looking for something bigger i guess. i was really looking forward to meeting some of the people from the site. yeah...Mladin was ok, yates was ok , spies was cool too. Zemke was also very nice. Josh Hayes was probably the nicest of them all. he was signing and talking to fans every time we went to the paddock. All in all...the riders were fan friendly. I am sorry i didn't look closer at the pop-ups to find you guys. would have been nice to put a face with the comments we read here.

Saw the race on Speed. Great finish between Spies and Duhamel in race 2. No rider out there can chalenge Maladin. YET. Ben Spies is going to get better and better. I've never had the opportunity to watch a live race. Must be heart pounding.

I've never had the opportunity to watch a live race. Must be heart pounding. It's great, I got to go to Daytona in 04. Watched the race sitting on my bike from the infield. It's kick ass to watch those guy's race. Of course most of the racing happens behind Mladin. :clap:

It Was A Good Race And Yes Most Of The Raceing Was For Secontd And Third Or Ferther Back But It Was Great . The Only Bad Thing Is That Every Thing Is So Far Away From Us In Tx The Closes Track To Me Is Dallas Area And That Is Like 8-9 Hours Away! But I Do Not Think They Do Any Ama Or Gp Raceing It Basicly Track Day And Beginer Raceing !

Definitely some good racing. . .saw a pretty nasty hi-side in Turn 2, along with a sick save in 3. . . The banner was up Saturday & Sunday, I don't know how you could've missed that bright yellow bastard :lol:

don't know how i missed it then. i did look for the banner. but oh well....i will be going to the AMA at Road Atlanta. maybe you guys will go too.

It was my first AMA race and I had a great time! It will not be my last for sure. And after seeing Barbers I will do a track day there before the summer is over. I'm also going to try to make it to road atlanta. It was also very nice to meet some of you on Saturday. We watched from the back straight away on Sunday just to see a different place on the track.

Man it's really great to see suzuki dominate. The WSB as well. I would love to see Mladin and his entire crew go to WSB. I have a feeling they would mop up. Now if Suzuki could just do something in Moto-gp

Were you guys there both days? i think that was damon buckmaster on the yamadog. yeah we were there saturday and sunday. it was crazy to see him wreck. also saw 2 others lose it coming onto the straight away. it's not like NASCAR when these guys wreck....you hate to see it cuz it's just them and the pavement!!!

Yep it was good, watched it on T.V, Spies looked a little pissed after the race like he really wanted to beat Matt really bad, I don't know but it kinda seems like Matt was a little pissed cuz of the whole clutch thing, with Spies leading in points at the end today! What do ya'll think? :headscrat I can't wait till the 22nd for the AMA's at Pikes Peak, we drove up to Denver yesterday and I got all excited when we passed up the track on the way there!!!! Is anyone from this site comming to Fountan for them? If so let me know so we can all hook up! :thumbup:

honestly the whole suzuki squad looked so damn strong..Spies was very impressive, but Matt just made it look way too easy...anytime anyone got anywhere near him he would just stretch it back out

If Matt Was In The Race He Would Have Taken First, He Pushes Hard And He Can Controle The Bike The Other Gixxer Riders Are Good But They Do Not Have The Comf. That Matt Has Hit Was A Good Race And I Like To See Suzuki Leading As Well But That Duck Was Doing Well! And As Far As Motogp Well They Are Trying. And I Think Hopkins Could Have Been In The Top Five If He Would Have Not Made That One Mistake. Also The Rain Did Not Help That Was A Riders Race And That Kawasaki, The French Guy? Took Second That Was Bad. He Busted Ass, And If He Would Have Had Just Acouple Of Extra Laps I Think He Could Have Cought Valantion But Hey It Was A Good Race And Loved It .

I think Spies is going to be the next Mladin, once he get a few more years under his belt. Matt is the Rossi of AMA. When his bike is working, he has around a 5+ second lead on the rest of the field. Thats why he is a 5 time, going on 6, AMA Champion. I'm pretty sure he would have taken it from Hayden a couple of years ago if he didn't have all of those bike problems. but I like 5 out of 6 is a really good ratio.

yeah man, i say the same thing (Rossi of AMA)....and that Duc was alot farther back then it must've seemed on TV.....Bostrom hung around at first with Yates but after about 15 laps he had 0% chance unless someone wrecked....he was just getting smoked down the straight

I wish they wouldn't have post poned the 750 class for rain. They were asking Yates if he was going to do some of his famous tail slides. He said rain didn't scare him. It would have been fun to see a little slippage. All in all it was hella fun. I rolled from Sacramento with a crew of 20 bikes. Standups for miles. They need more than one ATM machine. That line was ricockulous!!
