I know those things run as well. Keep up good work  bluezuke860 04-25-2005, 05:19 PM Well for starters I switched out the 7 with an 11. Got a deal on an 88 GSXR that his guy was tired of working doing work to. He kept using backyard mechanics...lol. Anyways got the bike for 650.00. Took the bike home messed with it and started riding the ole mule around the neighborhood...lol. Found out the the motor was a 1990 1127!.
Switched the motor
swing arm was an 3-10 Extreme adjustable for an 88 GSXR (welded a part in the dog bone adjustment and with some metal work fit it right in then sent it out to get chromed.
Put a 2001 GSXR rear rim with a 200 tire.
Braided brake lines
Removed the motor once everything fit and ran good.
Polished the inside and parts on the frame.
Put it back together and what you see is what u get.
Im going to rewire the whole thing next. Saw a wiring set up on OLDskool suzuki's site that I've been peeping out. Need to check out that site! learned alot about some 7/11 mods!
I've ordered a top end oil kit
and I'm running Kelin 39 flat slides with adapters for K&N filters.
She's a running...lol
spent 650 for the old mule
spent 400.00 on polishing equipment
sweat and tears...lol
Chrome swing arm and rims 1000.00
and all the labor was me. bluezuke860 04-25-2005, 05:24 PM Oh yea, I'm using an 88 shock so when I'm not sitting on it she looks high. But when I put weight on it she drops. I have a 2001 shock that I'm thinking about putting on and getting the ride stiffer, but all in all she runs stiff and sturdy. You would think it would have some bounce but none at all once the weight is on her. I'm about 220 so I weigh her down a bit. GSXRHeart 04-25-2005, 05:56 PM Nice lookin bike man. Looks like you put alot of time and $$$ into it. Ride safe and keep'er lookin good. jeepboyyj 04-25-2005, 07:57 PM Bike looks good man. Couldn't help but notice the jeep as well. I've done some wheeling up in Telico just outside of Murphy, not sure how close that is to you.
