Riders in the Sacramento area

We should have a meet and ride to San Francisco or something. Anyone good at organizing a meet? I know there's a meet every thursday nights in south sac, but no weekend meets to ride. Let me know what you guys think of a meet like this. And need to know if anyone woud like to organize this. :arsenal :arsenal

i think its a great idea, i know their is a lot of riders around sactown and stockton. i'm not much for organizing but i would defeinately be there if it gets together

Hi guys - i just reg'd today (because i saw this post) i picked up a '02 telefonica, and am here in sac/laguna/eg as well - i've been trying to plan a bay area ride as well, got a friend who dj's there so i'm trying to coordinate days...

Try the bayarearidersforum.com for events in the bay. they have rides and meets every week but its not limited to just gsxr. Me and a few friends ride out to local twisties everyweekend

We usually have large groups going out in the spring/summer on weekends. I wanna get one going in 2 weeks. (busy this weekend) We usually meet at the Crispy Cream @ Sunrise/Greenback at 10:30am. If anyone is interested, let me know. We'll do all the normal routes.

Yeah I'm down for sure for next time bro, maybe this coming weekend we can schedule something? Buddy and I were out on Salmon Falls / 49 / Forest Hill today. We missed our turn from Forest Hill road to Old Forest Hill road and u-turned. And Mr. billy badass cop just happens to be coming and flashes his lights at us and has us pull over. As he's talking with us, this fucker roles up in his 4x4 coming from the direction we just came from. He waves the cop over and tells him that we had just passed him on a blind turn and were racing. (which we did) Then Mr. billy baddass cop gets 2 other CHP cars to come "assist" him. Cop tries several times to make us admit we were racing and passing illegally. (such bs) Twisties are 10x more fun for me now. I just got some used racing tires put on, what a world of difference! Joey did you change #s? The one I think I had for you ended in xxx-9078

I was riding that same Salmon Falls/49/Forest Hill area on Saturday. There were more then the normal amount of police present for some reason. I'm up there pretty much every saturday, somewhere :thumbup: Ice House is fun too.

yea it used to be 705-9078 i recently changed it....i got throught cell phones like i go throuhgt women i lost 3 in 2 days ....thank i god i take better care of my bikes then phones lol

by the way ....was the cop an EL DORADO COUNTY SHERRIF i fricken hate those fu*Kers they chased me from FoRNI in placerville to eastbidwell in folsom just because i had dealer plates on a an 03 750 they thought that shit was stolen so i just mashed home put the plates on and sold the bike about 3 weeks ago .... it probaly was the sheriff they are the most crooked cops in the world those fools tried to take me out with there expidetiond SUV came straight at me at about 65 mph cut accross the freeway throught the dirt coming straight for me cuz i wouldnt stop so tried to ram me..... in california it is illegal to use a spike strip or ram the motorcycle in a vehicle chase .............because they may have a passenger which can be used as a hostage

I think any Placer county law enforcement is CROOKED, straight up. We were riding Salmon a couple months ago and we were stuck behind 2 SLOW cars. The lead car was some smuck in a small car and 2nd behind was a park ranger. My buddy who was leading, signaled to make a pass and he did. I immediately started to make my pass and the park ranger literally swerved over into the lane I was starting my pass on, almost running me off the road. And you know how bad the the edges are on Salmon. I had maybe 1.5 feet of room from his jeep and the edge. I almost wished I crashed and went off the side of the road. That woulda been a law suit and a half right there. Oh and yes, the 1st cop that pulled us over yesterday was a Placer sheriff. He swore we had been drinking and did all the DUI test on us too. :fu:

yeah in high speed pursuits imagine gsxr hitting spike strip at 150mph total the whole bike kill u and the passenger just because they think ur doing something your innocent until your proven guilty in a court of law....so if they did that and then didnt have enough evidence to proscute you and they caused you to wreck your bike even if you were guilty and they took u out and caused bodily injury the cops would have a lawsuit and a half on there hands id have me a whole fleet of brand new cops cars then id jump them with my monester truck

Hey guys just be careful on Salmon Falls. I live near the area and it is really being cracked down upon. CHP is also using undercover vehicles (not crown vics) to radio to marked units. By the way, I don't know how many times Eldo County Sheriff has let me off the hook. I would much rather be pulled over by them than CHP any day of the week. A lot of the guys are younger and appreciate fast cars/bikes as long as you respect them.

But yeah, my experience with both ED and Sac County Sheriffs is that they really don't give a crap about traffic stops and speeding tickets. They feel that's the CHP's job, not theirs.

No problem. We have a local newspaper up here and they were talking about the problem on SF road on Sundays. Any other day of the week it won't be any different, but Sundays they are really trying to put more officers out there. I personally haven't really seen any change yet, but that's not to say one shouldn't be a little more careful! I kind of think the undercover thing is a bunch of crap, because they only have one officer for the whole EDH area during a normal day (and he is usually cruising the boulevard). Could have been a scare tactic by the newspaper, but it wouldn't make sense because everyone knows SF attracts riders from all over. One other thing, the county only has one CHP motor officer, and in the 10 years I have lived here, I've never seen him on Salmon Falls once. Just watch out for those crown vics!

Oh yeah, that motor officer likes to hang out in front of the archery range next to their mailbox (in front of those two big rocks that everyone paints). Just in case any of you happen go along EDH boulevard coming from highway 50 ;)
