my first crash on the street

well it finally happened, after 14 years of street riding. I shifted a 1st to 2nd gear wheelie on my 04 600, which is nothing new, it started to loop, then weave while still over the balance point. I chopped the throttle, then coasted for what seemed like forever. it finally came down, but at an angle from weaving which sent me onto the gravel shoulder of the road. i stayed relaxed and just kind of coasted off into the ditch at about 50 mph. the bike lowsided, dug into the dirt, then launched me off. all i saw was grass rushing past my face shield. my homies told me the bike flew up in the air and did a couple cartwheels. i am sore, but ok. the bike only suffered damage to the side fairings, and scratched the tank, and broke the mirrors off! I guess i was pretty lucky considering the speed i was rolling at. I have always liked that cadillac white with the blue pearl anyway..................the bitch of it is we had the camera out that day and they missed the crash. :arsenal

I went into the local home improvement place the other day on my bike the get a couple of small things. The guy who checked me out ws like "you ride". so I said yeah. Then he's "Yeah I want to get a busa next year". So I asked "do you ride?". He's like "no". I just don't get all these kids (he was younger than me) thinking they can handle something like a Busa right off the bat. I'm 27, got a 600 last year and it's not like I couldn't handle something bigger but I don't think I'm good enough on my 600 yet. I know I'll never be mladin but I want to be really good before I step up in power.

I went from a CBR929 to a gixxer 6 this year after riding one, and i am totally happy with it. I dont want for a bigger bike except when i'm hauling a passenger which isnt very often.

Yeah I took a huge leap from a Ninja 250 to a GSXR 750 about two weeks ago, I love my GSXR. I am a fairly big guy like 250 and I don't know that I will ever get a bigger bike. The 750 has plenty of power and hell of fun also. Those guys that don't ride and are gonna buy a busa or a ZX-12, or even a 1000 are fuckin lunatic liars. They say that because they hear about these bikes and say I have to have one! BULLSHIT! :laughings
