Permit with Insurance???

Ive asked this question to a few people and some say yes and some say no. Do I need insurance with a permit(in California) if I get stopped by a cop???

Do I need insurance with a permit(in California) if I get stopped by a cop??? i think in the state of cali you have to have proof of some type of insurance on anything you drive on the road, bike or cage, permit or regular license.:hmmm:

to be on the safe side just get it, I rode without insurance for 2 3 weeks, I also was using my permit, now I have both license and insurance, but no license plates lol

you must have proof of insurance in Cali PERIOD they stop you and you don't have insurance they will tow your bike and give you a large fine

i hope that you have to have insurance everywhere..with a permit or a license. why wouldn't you have to have insurance?
