Hey guys, i have a 91 Katan 750 w/ a fairly built 92 gsxr 750 motor going into it.. w/ a minor port polish, degree'd cams, full pipe, and a jet kit, im a fairly good rider, and have yet to be out holeshot'd on a bike yet riding wiht my friends, and consistently beat them on thier cbr 600s and gsxr600s wiht my katana motor. Im just wondering what you guys thing i'll run on motor. Bike is also geared VERY VERY steep.. right now at 65 in hi gear im going 5800 rpm, so it gives me the edge quickness wise... the bike is built to be a sleeper, and it does just that.. its ugly, unsuspecting, and a money maker.. gimme ur imput.. thanks a lot.

Thanks for your input, im hoping for a little bit better than that :). but i'll take what i can get LOL... My guess would be wiht my riding abilities and the gearing of teh bike, and the degreeing of the cams which has been said to give "up to a second off" that i should be in that 11.20-11.80 range.. nice and broad.. but i'll be ecstatic with an 11.50 or so.. then comes the n20.. which is where this bike should reall shine with its port job, im hoping to be in the 10.50 range or so on a 50 shot.. but time will tell :). anyone here have a GSXR 750 of the same oil cooled vinatage.. i wonder what those ran stock.. this bike shouldnt be much heavier, and has more work. dont ya'll just love bench racing LOL

I know we bench racing but I hink those bikes come stock with about 80 or so so with valves pipe jet kit I can see you possibly in the 95 or so range to the rear. but your weight will not help at all on that bike. I think that 10.5 will be a very good challenge even low 11's even with good riding. Your gonna run N20 @ 50hp Your gonna need to retard that what about 2-3 degress. Take to track before these mods and see where you are at then go ahead and start adding the mods. Would make for a good story to see how much you progress with it. I have a friend with 92 Gsxr 750 extended if i am correct 4-6 over and stage 3 jet kit and air shifter running 10.7... If i remember. This was this weekend and this person pops is online here sometimes.

Bike isnt high enough compression that it should be a concern.. drop 2 heat ranges of plugs and run 100 octane, and it will be fine.

SO basically your buddies 10.70 bike, has an air shifter over me.. the extended arm isnt really a concern of mine becaue the bike is naturally longer as its a "touring" bike, so it doesnt come up easily to begin with. What other kind of things does he have done to his 92???
