Just another way of uncle sam taking more money from our paychecks. I wonder though, what happens if we crawl at a .25 or .5mph, would we still get the $100 citation.

it didn't say... but since i don't go to the canyons i don' expect it to be an issue to me.. how ever if its illegal and they do it anyways they should be punished just like we would when we do something illegal

They make license plate covers for this that refract the light and arent able to have pictures taken of them. You could always get the flip up and down arm thing too.

I've seen this. First, its a waste of tax payers money. Second, everyone that's get one of these tickets should FIGHT it cause they are NOT legal. In california, you are not allowed to put speed measuring devices on any signals or signs. If you are using a speed measuring device (cop, using radar or laser) it must be in a zone that has a Speed Traffic Survey. That's the law thats what's required, (hence why people in cali only get redlight camera tickets, while in other states you can get a redlight ticket + speeding). But....in california, NO camera's or any device at all are allowed on signs. Which is why they are illegal. They do it anyway cause the government loves UNIFORMED people. Let people know this, and anyone that gets these tickets should fight it. Oh, BTW, these camera's don't apply to motorcyclist because we wear helmets that conceal our identity, and in order to issue a ticket they must be able to identity the person (not just plate someone else could be riding). But they still issue them either way but you can beat it in court.

Yeah well they still haven't figure out how to get passed my duct tape over the license plate trick :)

Big brother is watching! I also want the oil slick and rear ejection seat for my bike. Maybe a helmet targeting gatlin gun too for those road ragers :thumbup:
