so i hit the tar strip!!!!

alright guys get this what a good mothers day i had.... so its around id say 5pm when me and a few buds get ready to ride... we hit one of our good S" curvey roads.. everything goin very well hitin those S's with some style lol... we get to the end and decide to run it one more time before we head home... big mistake!!! got to the first corner(35-40) wasnt even hammerin, just before i got to the start of the corner i seen something out of the corner of my eye, just as i thought it was a cat or something(runnin out at me) i TAP the front brakes(just 2 finger it) well the front tire just happen to be on a nice new fresh wide strip of tar... front tire locked up bike slide on its side, about 40 me and the bike hit the gaurd rail bike flew to the other side hittin the other rail.... long story short i spent 3 days in the hospital, 4 1/2 hours in surgery road rash all on my left side(shoulder to foot) i put a hole in my right shine from the gaurd rail(about 4x7in you colud see the bones clear as day!!pretty cool if u ask me lol) just got my bike ou tof the paint booth about a week ago to... ill get some picture up as soon as i get home... watch those tar stipes guys latter

Hope you feel better. Sounds like you made out worse then the bike.

DAM!!! skinned to the white meat! I've been there before bro.....not a good feeling. I remember getting hydro theapry for 2 weeks to grow skin back!!! Looked like a mummy for about 2 months. My homeboys used to come over and knock on the door....thing is I lived in a 3 level house and had to come down 2 flights to get to the door. All their asses would be at the front door when I opened up just to get a laugh....lol. Its funny now but then...hell na!

i had on my helmet, leather jacket(with hard armor), leather gloves(with hard armor on them) jean pants,and just normal boots(tims).... no rash on my hands or my arms, got alot on the back of my thigh non on my ass lol but alot on my lower left side of my back probly where my jacket may have cam up alil....a hole(4inx7in) missin out of my right shin..lol is it a good thing that i made every nurse and doc say "OMG" when they seen it... again im still tryin to get some pictures up so u guys can see...

You're the 2nd guy I've seen in @ 2 weeks that has rashed their back because their jacket rode up. I suppose the lesson for us all is that denim doesn't protect even at a somewhat slow speed of 40. Did you say what put the huge hole in your shin? You never mention the bike....will it be totalled?

right rearset broken,right side fairing is rashed all up and broken in half, front rim has a bent in the lip(still holds air), front headlight/upper fairing are in a million parts, upper fairin stay( which BTW i had to wait 3 months to get back from the chromer) is crushed into the forks, tank has a small bent in the left side, when the bike spun across the road to the other gaurd rail it smashed the tail into a million pieces, broke the weld off the sub frame(right side bottom bar) also broke the top mount off the frame(subframe mounts to),mirrors broken... thats preety much it i think havent really had time/strength to go out to the garage and take a good look, but for the most part i will rebuild it, it does still run i made sure of that... btw the huge hole in my leg was from being pinched between the bike and the first gaurd rail... hurt like hell let me tell you guys!!!!
